" This one is pretty easy because mine is real recent. I just got a PS3 a few weeks ago for Heavy Rain and God of War 3. I wanted to have the God of War series fresh in my mind when I played God of War 3 so I picked up the collection with the 1st two. Well I am enjoying the game thinking its so amazing and getting me pumped for the 3rd one. Then I get to the part were Kratos is in the under world. I really don't remember this part and soon I learned why, I must of blocked it from memory. Having to balance on those dang spinning things while dodging spinning blades and trying to get all the orbs sent me into a rage. Then after all that crap you have to climb this high wall with more spinning blades. I was so pissed off I was hoping the people who had a hand in this level were fired. For real this level almost ruined the whole experience I was so close to quitting and moving on to God of War 2. "that was a great part in god of war...
Last time a game REALLY pissed you off? (possible spoilers)
I'm going to go ahead and say Dante's Inferno.
I'm playing on Zealot, and the game's difficulty hasn't been a problem. The problem is the inconsistent checkpointing. I had played through a battle that took a full 15 minutes of dull dodging and quick attacks; I didn't take any damage, but then I jumped up to hit a switch, and Dante got caught on the ledge and then fell into the Lava. The game reloaded about 10 minutes prior to the fight (i.e. 25 minutes of progress earlier). That is not how checkpointing should work, and while it may have just been a bug (I pray to god they at least know how to make checkpoints), it pissed me off enough that I stood up, walked over to the console, hit the power button, and walked away.
Got stuck on the Yian Kut Ku?"
Monster Hunter just up until i got the hang of it, that game was considerably annoying at some points though. I love the psp version though, and well no way in hell i'm Rage Quitting in that :P

:P
It's everyone's first brick wall. What I do when I face a brick wall in MH is try to make all the armor I possibly can out of whatever's giving me trouble. WHen I do that, I know I've mastered that enemy.
FEAR 2 Ending pissed me off...... DUDE What?
Alma is Pregnant?
Only time i got angry enough to throw a controller was after being cheated yet again by the AI in 360 arcade backgammon..... the AI is evil.
Fuck this game is something I say often with regard to SF4/ I feel like I'm having a fucking aneurysm half the time.
And Darksiders, facing the Dark Throne boss. I literally have no idea how to beat him.
Hm. I've never really raged at a game before, but I remember when I was younger my brother and I played a lot of Phantasy Star Online, and my friend and I thought it would be funny to copy his high level save onto a memory card, and delete the original, to trick him into thinking his save was gone. When he came back and we all found out you couldn't actually use the save on the memory card or copy it back (nice pointless system there), I got a good beating, and when I got away my brother grabbed the pellet rifle and chased after me... whew... He never touched another online RPG of any kind after that. I wonder how many people would do the same if they're WoW account was deleted...
My last rage-quit was on MW2. That game gives me high blood pressure, I have nearly snapped the disk and broken my controller many a time.

You'll land on a platform on his back and you'll know what to do from there.
I can only recall throwing a controller once, Sands of Time could be on frustrating game.
MW2, and most other online shooters when I'm getting shitty luck (getting spawned then noobtubed, spawned right in front of an enemy with my back to them, RPG'd, team killers on hardcore mode, etc.) My rage is usually a mildly loud variant of goddamn or fuck. The other thing that pisses me off in games is when difficulty levels are just making the enemy more cheap (like in previous CoD games when Veteran was giving the enemy 500 grenades each) or when a game has problems with saves getting corrupted and you lose a 40 hour campaign on an RPG.
I wanted to throw my controller into something so many times... but man, those things are expensive!! So i ussualy temd to hit myself with a fist to the leg (sounds horrible, but really helps to release the tension!!)
Also, playing God of War (on PS2) on "god mode" was insane and that is the only game, that made me actually stand up and release a BUNCH of nasty words, while running around the room like a crazy person. Those were the days. I dont know, if i could ever finish it again, on that damned God mode.
At 4 in the morning on a Saturday, I was playing Grand Theft Auto: The Ballad of Gay Tony. The hardest mission in the whole game is one at the beginning where you have to shoot boats in a helicopter, and that game has some terrible helicopter controls, on top of that shooting some SMALL targets with a minigun was next to impossible. So on like my 17th try, I destroyed them all and went to go land the fucking helicopter on a building, misjudged the landing, got the rotor stuck on something, causing it to explode. I was MAD. And I couldn't "let the game win" so I kept fucking playing it, until I did eventually beat it.
On a similar note, on the end mission of GTA 4, I kept fucking up on the final helicopter part. And that game had truly awful checkpoints, meaning I'd get a chance on the helicopter, fuck up and go all the way back to the beginning of the firefight. Rockstar had better fix the helicopter controls in GTA 5, or leave helicopters out entirely.
@turtlefuzz: I never got why people hated that mission, I always found it easy. Then again, I always flew the choppers in GTA IV and TLAD, so I guess it didn't bother me.
" @Rhaknar: You've never been to GNR? That's like, the second main quest outside the Vault. Unless you go to Rivet City (or V112), you can't miss the place. If you go there as the main quest wants you to, you get a bunch of BoS guys to help you kill the mutants. I liked the fight, and you can even find a Fat Man near by.i remember finishing whatever quest it was WITHOUT going there, and thinking it was weird. I only have 1 quest in my log (right before the end), to go talk to the chick in the citadel and start the end game.

I got stuck on Metal Gear 4 on the last boss fight (when it goes all tekken) on the hardest difficulty, it drove me insane, Liquid with his damn Paul phoenix punch
I don't get that mad at games very often, not even with something like Demon's Souls, but recently both Dante's Inferno and NBA 2K9 have seen a bit of nerd rage. Dante's Inferno was fine until the 8th circle and those stupid challenge rooms. I think it was the penultimate one where you have to kill every enemy whilst keeping the hit count up. A few times the hit count would randomy stop when I'm in the middle of attacking someone, while about three times I had actually killed every enemy only for the game to say I failed. It was so stupid, and I just wanted to get to the end boss, not play these redundant, game-extending challenege rooms that shouldn't even be here.
As for NBA 2K9, started playing that again the other day and realised why I stopped playing in the first place. There's parts where the opposition will score some of the most impossible shots ever, while my guys are missing wide open looks from a few feet away. I understand there will be hot and cold streaks but when my whole team becomes a bunch of inept idiots while the other team is knocking down three's left, right and centre it really grinds my gears.
I used to be in the habit of throwing controllers but after a few broke I gave up on that. Now I just throw them down on my bed, or hit the bed/slam doors. Nothing too extreme, just a way to vent my anger. I still think Alma in Ninja Gaiden produced the most rage. Although the funny thing is, after trying for hours to beat her I put it down for a few months, came back, and did it very first time. So random like that.
Beating Star Wars the Force Unleashed on Sith Lord Difficulty and not getting the achievement. Havent touch that game ever since. Thinking about tieing it to a cinderblock and throwing it off a bridge.
And i broke my controller on the escort mission after the main story in Saints Row. Where you have to hijack a bus with a politician in it and take it back to the Row while being chased by every god damn goverment official that game could handle at once, on the screen. That god damn bridge over the train tracks. I threw my controller, felt good, then couldnt stop till i saw pieces fly. And we had just gotten wood floors in my house, so i put them to good use.
