Bottom line is: Stop making these fucking games!
Thoughts?
The problem here is that Traveller's Tales is owned by Warner Brothers, and the Lego games keep making good amounts of money. So in other words, no matter how little I care about those games or how much you want them to stop making them, they won't.
" They're great family games, so I say keep at it TT. "This.
Those lego games aren't really designed for the adult gamer. I played about 10 mins. of Lego Star Wars. It was so simple that I felt my brain melting away. I feel that they are designed for the new generation so they can apprieciate these great stories that we all loved when we older folk were growing up. My point is that these games should be made as long as they sell so that I can teach my 5 yr old the greatness of these stories in a way that he will understand.
" If anyone needs to stop a game line is would be Activisions Guitar Hero. "I think Activision should stop all there franchises, I went there.
" They seem to please their audience and sell well - why stop? If you don't like them, don't buy them. "This is what I'm talking about (hang on). Activision is evil and therefore they should stop with Guitar Hero, but with TT (which is supposedly not evil) it comes to this: if you don't like it, don't buy it!

Lego Star Wars and Lego Batman are genuinely awesome games. I'm not into Indiana Jones enough to enjoy that game, nor do I feel like playing Lego Rock Band, but I think that TT are doing just fine with the formula. The games are always addictive and entertaining to me, especially the second Lego Star Wars game.
Why stop making them? Should they stop making Call of Duty, Ratchet & Clank, Final Fantasy or Metal Gear Solid games?
The games all follow a very similar template, but remain very enjoyable to play. At times, they're very basic and even mindless, but they are aimed at a younger generation. I do feel that Lego Batman smacked of laziness.. poor design, lack of characters and stages and even reused levels from older games. But the new Indiana Jones seems to have completely redeemed them. If you don't like them, it's as easy as simply not buying them.
I honestly don't get why we get topics like this, complaining about games being "milked" when many more, much more popular games *cough*Call of Duty*cough* can have even more sequels and spin-offs with the same lack of change or innovation, but don't get these same complaints leveled against them. What's worse is that the LEGO series is a kids game, and this is basically the equivalent of complaining about something like the Rugrats. I could very well claim the series is no good, not funny and has been running for far too long. Should my opinion be noteworthy, compared to the thousands of kids that I'm sure still enjoy the show very much?
Bottom line: Get off your fucking high horse.
I don't mind the frequent releases with TT as much as other companies, mainly because I'll only play one or two of these games. It's just not made for my age group.
..and have some of the best, arguement inducing co-op in any game.I disagree, me and my GF tried to play the Star wars one together on the 360 and we just simply found it boring. You can't die and all you seem to do in the game is collect stuff. Pretty boring IMO...
