Yes the fellow night stalkers are telling you to stop running already do they can go about there stalking. I've had this happen twice...and I'm guessing after the 3rd attempt to tell someone this, it gets very dangerous.

A shoe (or sometimes a pair of shoes) hanging from a lamp post or electric wire is used as an indicator for a meeting place for drug dealing around my area. Could be the same thing in your area too.
There is obviously a serial killer on the loose and this is his calling card. Fortunately for him, these murders will get pinned on you because you go jogging at 2am in the fucking morning like some kind of jogging, serial-killing weirdo.

Theres been a misunderstanding, by "anywhere between 12am and 2am" I mean I begin the run between those times, not that I run for the duration and 12pm is a typo. I hope most of you are being sarcastic but it's the internet so I have no way to tell.
Just had a run there, lots of peace symbols along my route which is kind of odd. There always an inconspicuous white van parked near the show. Can't help but expect someone to jump out and come after me.

That looks like England due to the side of the road the SLOW is painted on. We have a bit of gang problems inner city but that looks pretty rural, i doubt it's a gang. or a drug deal sign. probably just a kindly person decided to tie the shoe to the lamp post so it's not in the way. We're polite like that in England.
When I was growing up in New York, I saw Shoes tied on Electric wires all the time. Never knew what they meant. Heard multiple rumors though. Bad ones too.
You could not pay me in comic books or cold cash to go out running in my neighborhood between 12-2am. It's bad enough that the bums come sit on your porch when you're home in the middle of the day.
You're most likely going to be gang banged if you continue to run @ those times. Hopefully you think about my post/me when someone is penetrating your behind.
