alright this thread made me want to change my desktop. i think I am happy with this
July Wallpaper / Desktop Thread
"Right click the desktop, then go to view>small icons
I wish that I could make the damn Shortcuts a little smaller. "

" @sagesebas: I don't think you can get the recycle bin icon off your desktop in XP, otherwise that wouldn't be there either. =/ And as far as moving the taskbar around goes, yes, very weird. I think top is crazier than left though. "I could be wrong, but if you right click on the desktop there should be an option you can uncheck under "View". "
You can get rid of it, you need to write a script to do so though.
" So I'm curious. How do those of you with ultra-clean desktops hide your desktop icons? And what OS are you using? "I just don't put any icons on there. Only thing I actually have is the taskbar.
It's the Dillinger Escape Plan. At first I was like "oh that's pretty cool" then I looked again and was like "HOLY FUCKING SHIT"
EDIT: Google is your friend, they're now smaller =D
I have two displays, with the one on the left used as my main one for all my gaming and schoolwork and such, and the smaller monitor (the satellite monitor, if you will) used for less important things like instant messages and such.
It would look much sweeter if I did not have my widgets on there, but I like to have some information at my fingertips at all times. Especially during Woot-Offs.
The concept used to be even cooler looking when I had the monitor with the moon mounted higher than the one with the Earth, but that wasn't practical, so they're level now.
" @AjayRaz: eeeh? on the left too, thought I was the only one. But I use it like this because it looks better with the super bar from Windows 7 P: "i don't like it on the bottom that much. i had it at the top but that squished my wallpaper so i decided to place it on the left. ^^
"Great to see somebody else has OnLive! It's surprisingly functional. I won't ever use it for day to day gaming, but it's cool to just check out from time to time. When they have a better selection, I'll take it more seriously.
Nothin' special, really. "
Here's my current Desktop.
" @RandomHero666: Are you running Vista? How did you skin the task bar like that? "It's a Zune "Windows and Buttons" skin, and I'm running XP SP3
It's from the top of Rockefellar Center.
