Man kills his son over missing a video game.

That's the headline on Destructoid, sadly. 
 
In short, drunk man gets into an argument with wife over a video game, son joins the fight, gun appears, bam. 
 
It's really sad to see this happen, and it makes it even worse that's its over a dumb video game. Seriously people, get your life straight. If you end of killing someone because you're upset that's you're missing a video game, something is wrong with you. Drunk or not.

This is why you shouldn't own guns and I imagine a LOT of members will tell me otherwise.  Guns in the home are more likely to kill a family member than an intruder.  Anyone with the slightest record of aggression should not be allowed to own a gun.  When restrictions in Australia occurred after Port Arthur, use of firearms in domestic disputes virtually dried up.

I'm gonna be that nagging voice here, but the fact that the guy was drunk and had a gun within reach is probably more significant than the subject of the fight being a video game.

As I stated in the other thread, most gun crimes are committed with illegally obtained guns.  Stricter regulations, or banning them makes no sense, and only assures that criminals will be the ONLY ones with guns.

But i will make sure next time there is a holocaust or a Nazi invasion to laugh my balls off.  Yeah thats just putting gasoline on the fire, and we don't need that. One more point for Yoshiyuki Tomino and perhaps Jack Thompson.  Two mistakes the kid made: Why would you enter a fight between parents?  Don't do that... and he shouldn't have lost that game.  But really, the video game itself is such a minor issue in this story that it's almost irrelevant.
