Giant Bomb,

I own all the seasons of The Boondocks and new episodes are apparently coming out soon. It's great news. The show is fucking awesome. Regardless, everyone should watch it. Family Guy, South Park, and Futurerama have nothing on this. This is a true American TV show that makes sense.

Hey, why do people love Boondocks? The first episode Huey flat out says "Regan was the devil and the government is lying about 9/11". Why else would the show get banned for 3 years?

Banned for three years? It's been shown pretty regular on Adult Swim. Also, the seasons are out there in stores if you want to buy them.

I do enjoy the show quite a bit but I don't necessarily think it's better than Futurama, Family Guy, American Dad or the like. It has its own niche in satirizing the African American culture and community.

Welcome to TV land, this is what we call a rerun. We repeat the same episodes of a show to give the illusion that we are getting new episodes, soon enough everyone knows the whole season off by heart!

I know there haven't been new episodes for a couple of years. They do the same thing with the Venture Brothers. Does that mean that show has been banned as well? As far as I know only two episodes of the Boondocks ever got outright banned from television: The Hunger Strike and The Uncle Ruckus Reality Show. However, this didnt' stop them both from being included on the DVD release of Season 2 and The Hunger Strike has since gone on to air pretty regularly. The only reason that The Uncle Ruckus Reality Show doesn't show up is because BET will sue them into oblivion.

I do enjoy watching the Boondocks, but I enjoy the comics much more. The comics were much more a statement that the show is. I wish Aaron still wrote the comics.

Ghetto from the early 1900: Were a minority was forced to live in a small area, usually with very bad living quarters, if any. See Schindler's list.

Ghetto by todays terms: A place were many people from the same race (Black, Jew, Asian, ect..) live. See NDG in Montreal.

Disregarding all that and getting back to the main topic- The Boondocks is a hilarious, well-drawn show with clever plots and sub-plots and some interesting messages. I have every single episode ever made on my Zune, and I watch it everywhere. People who think it's racist are retarded.

The comics were good, but they focused a lot on current events and stuff, which didn't allow McGruder's humor to come out as well (in my opinion). The show definitely isn't as current or thought-provoking, but I enjoy it more for its humor.
