This komes kourtesy of Mortal Kombat ko-kreator Ed Boon. According to the tweet this accompanied, what you're looking at is the stop-motion rig used to capture the various frames of animation used for Goro in the original Mortal Kombat. It's pretty incredible to realize just how teensy that model was, as well as how much the game development process has changed since then.

That's awesome. I used to have a Goro, Scorpion and Sub-zero figures back when I was a kid, I miss them :'(
The comments starting from Black_Rose to Canberra all have "awesome" in them, I thought that was pretty awesome so I thought I would share it with you.
That model is goddamn tiny, it's amazing how much games have changed since then.
"as well as how much the game development process has changed since then."
Indeed. Pretty awesome though.
" Damn, awful lot of "awesome"s in the comments. I'm not debating that it is, but that's a resounding response if I ever saw one. "Lol I was thinking the same thing. I won't say it's awesome because it's already been mentioned how awesome it is, many times.
Heh, I love how ghetto it looks with the desk lamp and tape. But that was the good old days when 4 people could get together and make a game.
I'm looking at Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Reptile figures on my dresser right now. I got them at KB Toys a few years back, not sure if they sell them anymore.
I had a Noob Saibot figure as well, but my brother broke his arm.. it doesn't really matter, he was the worst looking one (actually grey instead of jet black). But yeah, the other ones are pretty awesome.
In a related story, I'm a total nerd.
