Apparently an Australian 11-year-old had a homework assignment in which she had to write a letter to a company. In this case, she wrote to Nintendo and said she wanted a DS, but her parents never got her one. She only received a 'C' for the paper, but Nintendo did respond and sent a DS her way. Anyone think I could get a 3DS early if I try this with Nintendo of America?

The Nintendo DS is a handheld featuring two screens, one of which is a resistive touchscreen. Four different models are available: the original DS, the DS Lite, the DSi, the DSi XL.
Schoolgirl asks Nintendo for a DS, and Nintendo obliges.
Fuck this shit, Im gonna get my nephew to write a letter to Bill Gates, I dont have a million maybe he could help out.
" Written like a true gamer. As in, really badly and very vague, just like all of my essays in school! Nintendo must have recognised the future gamer in her and realised that they'd make heaps of profits by sending her a ds. "Or they realized that they've already sold crazy amounts of DS's and had some they could just give away.
That story just made my day. As much as Nintendo isn't the game company for me their Australian arm clearly has a soft spot for the kids that play their games.
" Someone's gonna get fired for this. "Reading the article nobody is getting fired for this.
" They should of sent the girl a dictionary, thesaurus and grammar book. "Should have. Not of.
You first.

Because a little girl is happy and not them." That's really nice of them. Why is everyone so negative about it? "

" D'awwwww, how nice of you Nintendo :) You are actually doing something good for a change. "
Nintendo has always had the most respected costumer service of the big three console companies.
This is some great advertising for nintendo, all it cost them was the manufacturing and shipping on a ds and they are getting all this good publicity, well played.
Cute. I guess you could look at it as a cold, calculated PR move, but I bet the little girl is happy.
I wrote a letter to Nintendo when I was about 9. I told them to make a Paper Luigi game. They replied, but I don't remember what it said. Obviously it didn't say "Good idea", or I'd be playing Paper Luigi right now.
