Sony had a press briefing in Japan yesterday in which Kaz & Co were showing off the new motion controller, which has still yet to be given an official name and release date. (-my guess is they will December). Sony do seem to be showcasing the final design though, which I think looks great:

looks good, obviously you cant get rid of the ice cream look since the ball is the most important part of the controller.

im holding off on getting this (and natal) until a game comes out that truly utilizes the hardware

I have 50% of the puzzle, so I will be getting this on day one probably. I love gadgets, especially spherical ones.

I still prefer Sony's motion controller over Natal, personally. I don't think I'll be getting either though, unless a lot of games start coming out to use it on. I don't think it's worth buying if it will only be used in a few games (and not just party games).

 It would probably bounce of the TV screen by the looks of that ball.   It will probably have one...    On another note, I happen to think this looks notably better than a Wii Remote with Motion Plus, in every way.  "

I'll need to see this sucker in action. By that, holding it in my hand and seeing how it really works. I'm not worry about the aesthetics, if it feels fine and my hand and does its intention, I'd be a happy customer.

Wait, they actually stuck with a "wand" design!?! Jesus I thought they would have at least changed THAT! What a hideous looking peripheral! So basically, it'll do all the same things as Wii MotionPlus... -_-

Looks good.  Wish there was an analog stick though.
