Hey everyone, got the all time question for everyone. Now that all the systems are impleminting some sort of motion controller or camera onto their system just like the Wii, I want to see what everyone thinks of this. My question is, do you prefer to move your body to play the game or relax on that cheeto filled bean bag and push the buttons on the controller?
Me I prefer to sit down and relax. I'm mainly a computer Junkie and a console person second. I've had a PC all my life but I've also grown up with Sega and Sony (Not a PS3 fanboy, I'm a PC fanboy). Besides what's going to happen when they decide to make a motion game using the action genre like God of War or iNfamous?
Opinions?

The PlayStation 3 (often abbreviated PS3) is the third home video game console created and released by Sony Computer Entertainment Inc.
Motion or button pushing?
I think it would greatly depend on what I'm going to play if I'm going to sit down and play for many hours I want a button controller but a casual experience or if I'm only going to play for a short time motion controls could be fun
For the most part a button controller will be my main choice and not geting tired while a shoot junk
" I prefer using a regular button pushing controller over a motion sensing controller. "
With motion controls I don't want to feel like I am LARPing or whatever that thing is...
If the games work well with motion controls, why not? If they work better with controller though - DualShock for me.
It obviously depends on the games, I mean for normal games that I will play with people online and within the genres I enjoy now, I'll prefer a normal controller for and that won't change. However, Sony's motion thing, and project Natal at the same time look like they could work into a ton of fun things.
Button, until they come up with virtual reality helmets, then I'm not really up for gettting up and looking like a tad bit of an idiot.
I avoided motion controls until I encountered Resident Evil 4- Wii Edition. Now, I truly understand the potential that motion controls have to compliment button-pressing, and the synthesis of the two is incredible, when done correctly.
" Also, your question is inherently faulty. 90% of Wii games you can play laying on a couch resting your arms in your lap. Don't believe Ondor's lies - Gesture-based gameplay with buttons is where it's at. "
button pushing will always work (except for the rare game that is just that bad)
and in my experience, motion is a little messed up even in the best coded games.
so until someone can show me a motion thing that does what i am actually trying to do 100% of the time (which probably will never happen) i will always say a controller
The 360 controller is an extension of my brain by now... I just laugh at the people who actually have to look down and think about what button to press.
Motion controls just feel unnatural at this stage. Once they become more polished, they may become more enjoyable, but I'll always prefer a controller in my hands.
I'm looking forward to a day when all I have to do is look and think for things to happen on screen. Only then will I achieve true gaming lethargy...I mean, bliss.
It depends entirely on how well the controls are implimented, on both forms of control. Also the game itself, by that I mean what's more conducive for a better gameplay experience for the player.
