I'm fucking devastated over here. I really liked Kaitlyn and I know it's like the smarkiest most internet fan thing to say but I always wanted that Chickbusters reunion. How is that not a perfect angle for the Total Divas story? Ack! And why didn't they put the unicorn on the men's t-shirt?!
That game was a lot of zeitgeist. I'm never gonna touch Fez again and I wouldn't recommend playing it now. But that magic week where everyone came together to solve puzzles was the shit.
See? Not knowing what was edited makes this all confusing. Every puppy could be something naughty.
Every freaking morning I have to let my dick out.. I'll be doing something and "nope", the dick says. Gotta let me out. Oops, I forgot my phone and now I have to experience this without anything to entertain me.
Then I have to play patty cake with my dick and his ball for what seems like forever sometimes (yeah yeah animal lovers SHUT UP).
I'm getting friggin annoyed that people even think there is less game in Gone Home (which I didn't even like that much) than say the latest CoD. If you eliminate the thing they have in common (walking around) Gone Home would be left with exploration and mystery uncoverings. CoD would be left with clicking on people's heads and dog. There. It's a hidden object game.
Just because there are no objectives made up for you doesn't mean there isn't anything to do. I hate the argument because it's stupid idiotic bullshit to remove a giant section of games from the medium because someone can't deal with the fact that people derive enjoyment out of different things. I don't want them sepperated. I want them to influence each other.
I'm replaying Deus Ex: Human Revolution and it's got a lot in common with Gone Home. If you watch closely you can figure out who lives in this apartment. Read their emails to uncover who they are, what they do, who they killed and the code to their safe. Gone Home does environmental storytelling much better because they put more thought into it (it's their main attraction after all) and generated a bunch of unique one-time-use art assets that you probably couldn't do in a game like Deus Ex.
If you want to have your stupid analogy for TV vs. movies then console vs. PC. Think about it. Ten years ago those were fundamentally different but still the same. And short films are It Gets Better and Don't Shit Your Pants. Done.
