Even though you weren't the most prominent member featured in Giant Bomb's content, we enjoyed and respected your work both on and off the camera! Good luck, duder!

Hey, I'm working on an in-depth Games of the Generation list too! I've been working on it for about a year, have a few hundred games written down so far, am trying to tackle a lengthy list of more titles, and chop it all down to 100 games. Great to see that others are taking their time with their lists too, trying to really dissect the games they play and figure out the most complete and accurate list they can make. Excited to see what you come up with!

I have a few questions about how you're going about your list. Maybe these will be tackled in more of your "Making of" series, so hopefully you'll tackle them.

First off, what kind of list will this be? Will this be a list of your "favourite" games that you played, slashing the games down that are well made but never really "clicked" with you and praising the games that, despite having some major flaws, really struck a cord with you? Is this list going to be a "best of", where you try to look at games critically and in a vacuum from their reception, popularity, and (as much as possible (as in barely possible)) from your own feelings on the game? Or are you going to kind of mix in a whole bunch of values: personal preference, general quality, importance for gaming as a whole, popularity within the medium, etc etc.

Secondly...

The rules are pretty simple. Rule numero uno: the video game had to come out between Nov 05 and Nov 13 for the Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PC.

...is there a reason why you left out Playstation Portable, Nintendo DS, Browser, and iOS/Android? You are already missing out on a ton of fantastic games this generation by limiting your list to the three consoles and typical PC releases.

Thirdly, what types of games do you prefer? What do you enjoy most in games, value the most, and look at most critically? I'm sure the list should speak to this, as your list may be filled with instances of fined tuned gameplay, graphical powerhouses, story driven experiences, short and sweet packages, or long and immersive journeys. It could have a strong showing of Strategy, Fighting, or Shooters. The best thing about these lists are that they reveal what exactly the list maker values in video games and I'd love to hear what your preferences are.

Great list so far. You hit almost all the notable games from this generation with your list (beyond games from the platforms listed above). Can't tell if they are list of games you want to tackle or a list of games you have played. If you're going off your own experience, that's a pretty impressive list and I can't really judge you for what you have and have not played. If this is a list of all the games you want to tackle, might I suggest adding Sin & Punishment: Star Successor, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, Little King's Story, ilomilo, and King of Fighters XIII. All of them are excellent games that tend to get slept on when these lists are formed.

Anyway, that's enough out of me. Enjoy the list making process and good luck!

Could you make a list or more detailed pictures of all the games you got? Super interested.

Also, congrats on finding WindJammers, duder!

Fire Emblem: Awakening. The first amazing game of the year. The most amazing game of the year. The true game of the year.

Search your feelings, Scoops. You know it to be true.

This does not include licensed soundtracks I assume? Things would get a little weird if it did.

I don't know. Everyone's voting for Hotline Miami. I guess licensed soundtracks are cool?

You know, Hotline Miami has been nominated, nominations could go to some other games rather than mentioning the same handful over and over.

I was under the impression that more nominations = guaranteed spot in the final bracket and higher seeding. Is that not the case? I'll change my vote if not.
