I'd say for me it was probrably Dragon Ball Z Sagas, terrible game that I finished in an afternoon. That, and also Batman Beyond on N64, got it cause i was young and didn't know better, was really terrible.

Dead Space 2 is a great example as you are traversing through the church of Unitology, so that one really sticks out for me, plus creepy as hell.

@ErinIsADrunk: No, Young Bosch changes it up occassionally, for the most part he sounds the same in everything he's in (Trigun, Bleach, Code Geass, Akira) but in Eureka Seven, he actually uses a whiney kids voice, and I had no idea it was him until I read the credits. He sounds completely different in that show compared to just about everything else he does, but otherwise he uses the same voice for each character.

I love the entire series, and I'd say that I actually did enjoy ME3 a little bit more than the general consensus, however, I do have to admit that i am weary about the future. For one, there's not really anything else they can do with those characters, say anything else you will about ME3's ending, it pretty much put a bow on the entire series as far as those characters are concerned (unless you count prequels, which I'm not a huge fan of). Plus, I definately feel like the spark is gone going forward also, now that we've had the end of the saga of Shepherd, and plus you have the Bioshock issue of the first time you encountered that world, it was amazing, and you just can't get the same WOW factor again, sure, I was still blown away by the universe to the same degree in ME2 as ME1 due to ME2 being an overall better game and also expanding on the universe in an even greater sense, but ME3 definately didn't have the same wonder and wimsy that I associated with the first 2 games (the exception being the knowledge you learned from Javik, whom you had to pay an extra $10 for the see that stuff in the first place). Plus, the gimmick of all your actions across the games affecting things in later games just won't be as cool or special going forward. First time you played ME2 and saw how actions in the first game mattered or made a difference was something unique and special that we hadn't really seen before, now that novelty has worn off. I'm not gonna rule out the series going forward as there definately have been cases where a series was able to blow my socks off several times over when I willing to just write it off before even playing it, but I am definately taking my expectations for the future with a grain of salt.

Assassin's Creed Brotherhood'd ending kinda upset me, it just felt abrupt and unfullfilling, especially how awesome AC2's ending was, AC1's ending sucked too.

Bionic Commando's ending was ridiculously stupid, was made even worse by the whole "You're wife lives in your legs" twist. I also hated Fable 2's ending cause there was no boss like they set you up to believe, and they also just basically say "You beat Lucien, now go back into the world and keep doing stuff for no reason!", just bummed me out.

Lastly, I thought both Bioshock and Resident Evil 5's ending's were anti-climatic, just both felt rushed and didn't seem to have any really huge inpact to the rest of the story.

@Leptok:

Dude, I get where you're coming from, but trust me, it's only gonna put more fuel on the fire. Plus, as pointed out by a few others in this thread, there are several games that people have nostalgia or reverence for that they don't like. A really good recent example would be how Jeff loved GTA4 unconditionally, yet Brad didn't like it very much at all. On the othr hand, Brad loved Red Dead Redemption, yet Jeff couldn't stand it. Plus, Jeff alway's shits all over other popular games like Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, and Metroid Prime, so this isn't exclusive to VII, not everyone's gonna love every game, and if everyone did, then this community we have would be boring and seem pointless, it's nice having opposing opinions on games, movies, books, and everything, if we all liked everything someone else liked, the world would be boring.

@xyzygy:

Yeah, but at the same time, while people had issues with MGS2 then, now it is looked back upon WAAAAAAAAAAAY more fondly, and in some cases is even regarded as the best game in the series by a good segment of the audience. I mean, Raiden's become such a popular character with fans over time that now they're making a game starring Raiden that is advertised as him as the protagonist, something I never would've thought would happen when MGS2 came out. Also, you mention how the story was masterfully told, but I remember PLENTY of people at the time also complaining about the story cause they thought it had waaaaaay too many codec sequences, got way too convoluted compared to the first game, and hated the whole thing with Rose, so while the story may be seen as amazing by most gamers today, at the time it way pretty devisive. Yet, as stated before, now the game is considered a modern classic. Same thing for Zelda: Wind Waker, it's a game that had initial backlash and is now fondly remembered. Trust me, the same will happen for Mass Effect 3, and the overall Mass Effect trilogy as a whole. Sure, I admitt to having some issues with ME3 here and there, but overall I thought it was a fantastic game that was littered with fan service and could've played out completely different for someone else based on actions they made in previous games (talking about the game as a whole, not the ending). So, I think it's just a case of initial reception, I doubt that 10 years from now people will continue to hate on ME3, and I doubt that most people will think it ruined their entire experience with the series, it trully is a great game, may not be the high point of the series, but damn it if I've never felt more satisfied with a video game trilogy in the same way I was with the Mass Effect trilogy.

@Redbullet685: At first I thought I read that you put Waterworld on their, and I wasn't about to judge, but that did jump out to me, but then when I looked at it again and saw it said Westworld, I felt silly.
