I definitely reached a point where, after many failed attempts, I said to hell with some of those optional objectives and just pushed forward. There were many cases where I didn't see the notifications until after I'd already completed the main objective, which was damn infuriating. I haven't really been a fan of the whole "100% sync" since it was introduced.

I'm right there with you. I enjoyed BLOPS way more than MW2 and MW3 combined and want to play BLOPS 2 but I don't want to support the annual iteration philosophy (says the guy who has bought every Assassin's Creed game day one). It's more than that though. I don't do the multiplayer, a 5 hour campaign isn't worth the price tag, and I find Activision's overpriced map packs kind of offensive. So I'll probably just do what I did with MW3 and just borrow it from a friend.

I went with gameplay but one can definitely make up for the others' shortcomings. Of course I would prefer both be up to standard.

I was really hoping that Darksiders 2 would help but in hindsight pinning your hopes on that one title did seem to be folly. Better get that next Saints Row out the door quick!

All four of my 360 controllers have something wrong with them. My PS3 controllers are in great shape though, despite the fact that I threw one pretty hard once.

Gearbox has put out Shift codes via their twitterthat will net you some nifty character skins. So far they've released codes (for all platforms, valid until Nov. 4) for Salvador, Maya and Axton with others due later today. Just thought I'd give a heads up.

Told Kenny to fuck off which I didn't have to think about at all.

The last episode was more "fucked up" but I felt this one had some equally tough decisions. Seeing the breakdown of who can end up staying with you surprised me, as it seems like every combination of people is possible. Only Omid and his lady friend decided to join me which is interesting because I haven't really given a shit about them up to that point, probably because they haven't been around too long. The thing that struck me most as I was playing is how Lee's (my) relationship with Kenny had changed so drastically since the beginning of the season. We had each others backs for so long but that changed entirely when I refused to kill Lilly's father. I figured sparing him from having to kill Duck would count for a lot but apparently that's not the case. Can't wait for episode 5 so I can do the whole thing over again. Serious GotY contender.

I have a group of friends that I play with all the time. Since my friends and I discovered Worms when Armageddon came out for PC and Dreamcast we've never really stopped and have played every version since. We had tournaments every week for two years where we would play for a championship belt one of us made (I was the first annual grand champion and got a sweet Worms trophy). We're all pretty excited for Revolution.
