I don't mind. I don't think a generation featuring completely similar games would be all that interesting. Exclusives are what give a system its personality. If it weren't for all those great Sega & Nintendo exclusives in the 90's, I feel the industry would be dead.
The size of the App Store as well as the wide variety of content make for some pretty divisive reactions.

" The problem with your little rant is that there are loads of instances where Apple has removed a program because it disagrees with it, not because it fits into any of the criteria you mentioned. If Google did that with Android, I'd throw a fit. I don't use Apple products, so I'm glad they have such a poor service. "
If you don't use Apple products maybe you're not the right person to be making qualitative judgments about their service?
People either seem to worship Apple or hate all of their products. I don't think there's any reasonable way for Apple to fix many of the concerns people have with the App Store. It's too big for there to be any reasonable organization. I've spent hours looking through the contents of the App Store and while that may say something about how difficult it can be to find relevant content, I'm mostly satisfied with what I've found. There have been a few times where I wish Apple would remove more content than they already have, as the majority of the Paid Apps are awful.
@AimingWandersly: The "Pac-Man Button" is referring to the part of the PSN tutorial where it hides the movement commands with Pac-Man symbols causing the player to guess what the game is suggesting they press. In the Quick Look they made jokes about having to 'Press R2 or the Pac-Man Button', which is really just meant as a placeholder until you discover the button.
I think more sites would review re-released games if they could, but the game companies always seem hesitant to hand out review codes. Probably because the games can be sold on nostalgic value alone. Reviews for Ocarina of Time for the Virtual Console, for example, aren't going to make the game more appealing to customers. OOT has already scored well across the board, so there's really no incentive to provide review codes, in my opinion. It could also be that they're just not provided with the opportunity to hand out as many review codes for remakes. I'm sure things are different if you're writing for a large site with any kind of reputation. I'd like to see more Virtual Console reviews, as well.
