Probably not, in honesty, I had not heard of the game until I saw it on this site and then came to find out Greg Kasavin was working on the game. With it also being part of the Summer of Arcade deal on Xbox Live, that is what pushed me into buying it (well given the good reviews it recieved also, but I would not have even bothered about that with an uknown game).
Also a lot of feedback on the forum here especially made me take notice.
In some ways they probably would have been better of using a new name for this game and starting it out as a new IP.
However Tomb Raider still has a fan base and the name/branding sells games so Eidos/Square wont give that up until the games literally do not sell because of that.
Joking aside, think of something that indie development is associated with and run with that. (like the size of the development team, where the games are generally developed, budgets, and also what platforms you are looking at).
Saw this before the new Harry Potter film. Looks really good. I am getting more into the Marvel/DC ideas on super hero films and games etc (Batman Dark Knight started this off for me ironically and X-Men and others have been making me more interested). This will be one I want to watch, hopefully it will be iMax 3D.
But in seriousness, single asside, I would only get a cat if you feel you are able to look after it fully. It would not be fair to leave a cat or dog in a house all day long if you are at work for long stretches of the day.
About 3 hours ago, I had "Into the wild" on dvd. That was the last film I watched, before that was disk 2 of Battlestar Galactica Season 2.
Game wise I can not think, as I try to use Steam or register my game codes with the internet service so I dont need to have a disk in the drive to play. Probably looking back it was DiRT 2 or Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 or something.
Gamespot Hotspot is one I like and like the Bombcast, they tend to look in depth at new game reviews and news etc.
For a different style, perhaps the HAWPcast (Hey Ash, What are you playing) which has Ashley and Anthony Birch (the latter works at Gearbox Software as a game writer) and they tend to discuss games and tv shows/films etc. Their podcast is different in they dont review games or follow a traditional podcast approach. They tend to discuss video game culture (like booth babes at E3, should they be there for certain games, whether game stories need work or whether one dimentional characters and plot lines still work, making a long term project in the Sims, all sorts of interesing ideas).
Other than that I have only listened to the Gamespot UK podcast but stopped listening when they added music into the background being played the whole time (rather than just at segments) which really bugs me as I cant concerntrate of people speaking with music in the background!
