Good for them, they absolutely deserve it. The first episode was one of the best serious adventure/point & click game I've played (and I've played Broken Sword, The Dig and the Gabriel Knight series).

I'm a PC gamer myself, so I can help you on this. Personally, I think that the ME3 Razer keyboard looks horrible ! Look at those edges, it's gonna f* up your hands and wrists. Also, it is way overpriced. At $140, I would've expected at least some additional functionalities. You can have keyboards with more stuff in them for less. I have a Logitech G15 and I can tell you, it is great for PC gaming. Not only you have additional buttons on which you can put macros, but you also have a screen that is extremely useful (in games or not) and the keys are backlit, which is awesome. I had mine for €75 new, so the price shouldn't be a problem. Logitech has multiple keyboards so you should at least check them out.

Also, if you want a really good mousepad: SteelSeries is the way to go. I had mine for years and I can't recommend it enough. It is so comfortable.

Apparently I'm not the only one who cried over the MGS3 ending. Man... It's just so... good... I mean the entire cutscene with the monologue made me almost cry. But when "Way To Fall" by Starsailor started playing, it just... Man...

Well, the worst part is not owning games (I "own" 144, but the way Steam gets that number is kinda stupid), it's going through the entire list and not finding a game I actually want to play at that moment.

They CLEARLY sacrificed content for graphics by showing transitions instead of the actual game. This is outrageous !

Well, I'm not really worried.

The reason is, I already had an experience with DLC that went offline with the Skies of Arcadia "DLC" on Dreamcast. And all I had to do to get it now that the Dreamcast online doesn't exist anymore was to burn the DLC on a CD, put it in my Dreamcast and save it in my VM. Hopefully, if some major DLC ever goes offline one day, it will still be available to download.

Just look at emulation, people ALWAYS find a way. There's nothing to be worried about.

Having finished Valkyria Chronicles and absolutely LOOOOOVED it, my answer is this : don't get the DLC packs.

I bought 3 DLCs : Edy's Detachment, Selveria's Mission and the Hard EX Skirmishes. Here's the thing. I really love this game, and I really wanted to like the DLCs. But Edy's Detachment is not only a single mission (yeah, only ONE) but it's on a map that is already used in the game (if you want to know, that's Largo's mission). Now, the objective is different and you get funny dialog before and after the mission with side characters that already are in the game. But a single reused mission is not enough to justify the price (even if the dialogs are fully voiced, and the mission is challenging the first time). I would say the DLC is 30min to 1h long depending on your skill.

And to be completely honest, I didn't even finish Selveria's Mission. The reason for that is it's the same thing EXCEPT the dialog you have at the beginning (and the end I assume) is between Selveria and some random soldier. The map reused this time is the... one inside the citadel (trying not to spoil), which I didn't even like that much in the first place, and it doesn't help that all the guys in your team are just generic empire soldiers, except for Selveria. At least in Edy's Detachment, I used some of those people in the regular game so I knew who they were and I cared a little bit.

The Hard EX Skirmishes are really good and they are worth the price IF you really want more Valkyria Chronicles gameplay, as they are a harder version of the skirmishes you get in the game. The downside being that you can only access the Hard EX difficulty once you have finished the game, and by that point you may be over with the game (Not that it's a bad game. Again, I think this game is an underrated gem.)

TL;DR : Don't get the missions DLC, they are completely optional. And finish the game before deciding to buy Hard EX to know if you really want it or not.
