Ok, I just finished it... it explicitly implies that you were her mother at one point. Can anyone else weigh in?

(story spoilers)

Hey guys. I am about 8 hours in and I still can't quite figure out one key plot device: Is the empress that was murdered in the opening Corvo's wife? Meaning that the girl is your daughter? I realize she has a crayon drawing of someone on your desk that says Daddy, but it also says this is you without a mask.

So that IS his daughter right? or did I misinterpret something?

I went with Dishonored for the immediacy factor. I KNOW I will play XCOM over the winter for a long time. I don't know how long Dishonored will keep me playing.

So far so good!

Well, first things first regardless of what you end up buying ALWAYS play the new walking dead. ~2 hours of dark middle chapter greatness.

You may be on point here!

Here's the deal. I need help from everyone to decide which game to buy today - Dishonored or XCOM. I can't buy both; that's not an option :(

I will say I love the Civ series and I played the XCOM demo and didn't want it to end, however, I love Deus Ex and Dishonored's style seems more appealing.

So what is it? Dishonored or XCOM?

I could also play Walking Dead episode 4 instead to really save money.

Try completing the separate level challenges... that's when most of the other outfits will unlock.

Interesting piece. I agree that it can be hard to find new games as they come out, to the point that I sometimes think I got the date wrong. As someone who keeps up to date on this stuff I know when something comes out and know to look for it, but more "casual" people might miss all of this stuff. A shame, especially since I pay for a gold membership and still see nothing but ads.

I couldn't agree more. When the 2nd Walking Dead episode came out, I almost needed a walkthrough to figure out where to actually purchase it. I probably clicked around for 2- 3 minutes... it's a pretty interesting setup.
