Anyone know if there has been any WRs set this AGDQ?

I think Twitch Chat got a WR for "most unmoderated Star Wars: The Force Awakens spoilers".

I keyed into the red means lowered price and green means increased price pretty quick. Still trying to figure out how the system average for an item can still be an amount when everyone is selling and buying it at a substantially discounted price though.

Lucky for you. My idiot brain caused me to buy a bunch of expensive items because green = good amirite!? No, brain. You aren't right.

Anywho. I don't get it either. I have seen items go above the system average, like, way above it. I want to say it was Pure Water or whatever it's called. I think the average is around 13k, but I saw it on sale once for 19k. I'm not sure of the average for things like the Alien Artifact but sometimes they'll give you 15k, sometimes 30k.

I imagine it's not as complex as it seems to be, it's just letting you know that this item, on average, is worth x amount, and if you buy it for less than that amount, you know you can profit eventually.

What the length of time these averages are based on, I don't know. As I say above, I sort of got caught holding the back on a lot of items that were suddenly relatively worthless, and it was only after holding onto them and doing other things to get time to pass(Does time even pass? Is it just random? What are the lengths of time, etc, etc) and I lucked out in finding someone that was listed as needing the items, but was paying a boatload for them.

What's up space people. I bought Rebel Galaxy yesterday and have been having a lot of fun with it. But I noticed I that missions didn't pay a lot of money even if you do whole bunch of them. That's when I noticed there is a system wide stock market that allows each individual station to have items they want and items they have.

So, I did enough missions to get around thirty thousand spacebucks and I went off and started looking at what was selling for not a lot of money while also paying attention to the "system average" price on the store pages. This is a good tool to utilize when deciding what items to buy. For me, I look for items that are currently selling for space chump change with a relatively high system average. I went around, buying what I could and flying across the galaxy and selling it to stations that were buying at a high price.

Hour and a half later: two hundred thousand spacebucks in my space bank account.

Things to keep in mind:

This is the stock market. Red text means the item's price has decreased. Green means the price has increased. It does not, as I originally thought, mean "good price" and "bad price". So, watch out for that. Don't be the idiot I was/am.

Buy low, sell high. Also: Sell fast. I accidentally a whole lot of Designer Clothing almost the second everyone stopped offering top space dollar for it. But instead of selling it right away and taking the loss, I held onto it until someone eventually wanted it again. But the market changes a lot, so what they want at the time of your purchase does not mean they will want it once you get there.

As I mention in the above post, the market can change before you are even able to buy the item and get it to the station. But don't feel bad about hanging onto the items for a while anyway. There's no immediate rush to sell right away because there's a chance someone will buy it at a high price.

Pay attention to when a station's stock has been updated. That $13,000 sell price might look nice, but if it was posted 33 days ago it's unreliable. They could theoretically already have that item and end up making you waste a bunch of money.

Desperation? Psh, successperation! Making the best out a bad situation can sometimes lead to critical successes in the stock market. Did you accidentally sell an item, only to find out that some other station was paying top space dollar for it!? Go back to the station and buy it all back out and make some space money. Get what you are owed.

REMEMBER THE EXACT PURCHASE PRICE. Write that shit down. Buying Meteoric Diamonds for $9327 only to realize no one wants it anymore, but they are paying $9114? Do the quick math in your head and think "Uhurrrrrrmmm that's about right"? NO. That's operating at a loss and I saw The Wolf of Wallstreet so fuck that. You can do better, so do it! This will also allow you to realize the direct profit you are making from the sale instead of numbers just added up. Keep your mind on the space money and the space money on your mind!

These tips should help you. I'm still relatively early in the game but I'm making monetary jack moves on my way up the market. I bought a new ship, I upgraded almost every aspect of the ship so it's a whole lot stronger now, and I'm having a blast.

Also, once you get a bunch of money, I suggest buying a bigger hold. This will allow you to continue gaming the system. Also, keep some money on hand, about 50k or so, once you make the first few initial decisions with your money so you can jump right back into buying items.

The stock market won't wait, why should you!?

I've been playing this game for like 4 hours now and I'm still in the learning phase but holy fuck it's so sweet. It's Black Flag in space with, like, heavy metal outlaw country music jams. It's sooo cool.

San Andreas. There's just so much shit to do in that game. I mean you had gang wars, you could pimp your ride with hydraulics, you could dance at clubs, use a jetpack, change clothes, get fat, get fit and on and on. Current GTA's just don't have that same charm.

All I want in today's world is a GTA that let's you get fat and use a jetpack. It's not too much to ask for.
