The hype is real - just an all-around fun game. Nice to take a step back and never worry about k/d or leveling up, just play.
-
A challenging, contemplative first person puzzler that continuously surprised me.
-
The story hooked me, and I'm interested in the Forrester's fate. Tell Tale made a weird choice by blurring the backgrounds to (maybe?) look like an oil painting? But actually just looked like crap. Regardless, the best performing of the TellTale engine so far.

It was a joy to climb a massive flower.

Classic in so many ways, but fresh in some others. A silly story, with sharp writing - short but sweet.
-
Equal parts major waste of time and worthy investment. Solving puzzles felt like a triumph, the environment was gorgeous with nice touches of detail, but what did I take away from it? I still don't know.

I'm one of the lucky few to have zero issues playing this game. It was hard as hell, with a consistently changing enemy roster that always kept me on my toes almost the entire way through. Highly enjoyable.
-
Sad, real and heartfelt, but fell short with unnecessary plot twists. Still, a worthy experience that stuck with me.
-
The most recent example of leaderboard chasing for me. Fast paced, instant restart insanity. I adored learning the ins-and-outs of how to approach a run with this game. With only a few updates the game's pattern changed just enough to get interesting again.

One more turn.

A wild ride that reminded me why I like traditional character action games. Must re-visit the first game.

Good vs evil plot but with a spin on multi-release games a la Pokemon. I chose Birthright since I don't care much for the strategy of Fire Emblem, and found I loved the Hoshido clan. All the while, I was wondering just how different siding with Nohr would be? May check out someday.

Surprisingly competent but still not quite there. There's room for games to chase the Souls series formula, and riff upon it, and this game is one of the first to take the plunge. Enjoyable, but needs a lot of work.

Damn it.
-
Absolutely beautiful art direction, tough battles that require precision and a narrative told only through visuals. Succeeds in almost every aspect.
-
It was wonderful playing a Souls on an updated engine, but lots of this game felt a little too familiar. Favorite aspect was that bosses provided a challenge for a series veteran.
-
Mostly a continuation of the first game, with some minor improvements in battle variation. In this one it felt like characters would leave your party a little too often, making it hard to guess who I should level up and who I should ignore.
