Yeah I don't know if I'd buy the costume pack if I didn't have it included already. Now if they added Ghengis Khan, Abraham Lincoln, Napoleon and all the others in as playable characters allowing you to make your greatest XCom squad from history, that i'd pay at least 5 bucks for :-D.

PC. Looks better (this is not an exaggeration), loads faster, supports more input methods. Will more than likely support a ton of mod action. Cheaper too.

If you aren't confident in your game enough to put down such an insignificant amount of money then it's not the right place for you and there are other avenues for you to pursue. Let's take a look at some numbers, i'll use the Australian metrics since it's something I have at hand.

Minimum wages in Australia:

  • Under 16 years of age $5.87
  • At 16 years of age $7.55
  • At 17 years of age $9.22
  • At 18 years of age $10.90
  • At 19 years of age $13.17
  • At 20 years of age $15.59.

If you're under 16 you need to work 17 hours... at age 14 pushing shopping carts i'd of easily got this in 2 weeks working just time on my weekends.

Yes there are probably people making games who can barely keep the lights on, kickstarter or an outside investor is probably the path you need to follow. Steam doing this seems like an obvious move, what isn't obvious is them giving the money to charity, which is awesome of them.

Played this a few weeks at launch but put it down. 1.04 with legendary weapon changes, skill changes, paragon system and a few other changes may actually get me to try this one more time :).

What the hell is happening with social games companies?

The casual market is now saturated. The value of companies is being reassessed.

It probably cost 50 or 60 thousand of developer time to move this crap across to the two platforms, then it probably only made 20 or 30 thousand in sales after everyone's cut, then you have a platform it's free to patch on and one that isn't. You're not complete jerks so you still use a programmers time to fix the issues on one platform. I guess after that they didn't see the value in doing that AND paying 40 grand for the honour to patch the other platform.

Here's the real question though, how did it get onto the 360 in the first place with such bad bugs? Don't they have to jump through a thousand hoops in the first place, or is there only quality control for patches?

My continual love and admiration for Valve knows no bounds. A company for gamers (especially those on a budget), no matter their OS creed ;). Just need this and big picture mode to fully come out and Valve can stick a big boot up MS and Sony arses.... i'd include Nintendo but seriously that company needs a f#cking shock paddle to the chest right now.

Oh my god! Are we finally getting new software/games that aren't artificially limited thanks to the main focus being 10 year old console hardware? The PC can finally use some of its muscle again :-D

Meh. When nintendo decides to join the 21st century i'm sure they'll turn things around. They made a fortune off the Wii and I don't see where all that money has gone to. Their online platform is non-existent, graphics massively under par (yes graphics aren't everything but as a heavy PC user i find it hard to look at 15 - 20 year old graphics at this point), next to no decent 3rd party support. Really, where has the money gone other than their pockets.

I by no means want Nintendo to die but if i could buy Mario on my 360 or ps3 and nintendo consoles ceased to exist i wouldn't shed a tear at this point. They're underwhelming.
