Pachter sort of labeled GB as the site that lowballs games....a 12 he said??? Kind of a lazy comment. Does the industry look at GB as the toughest review site and the most independent? Could that impression be from the whole Gamespot K&L debacle w/Jeff? They are independent for sure(I can't believe how many times Jeff mentions how he has to go pick up a game to review it) but their reviews are on par with the other big sites for the most part imo. Hhhmmmm.......
That 'Video Thing' was awesome.....Gerstmann, Gerstmann ,Gerstmann...gotta love him. Anyway, I wish SK would make the trilogy like was originally planned. But they went dark shortly after release of TH, and never even followed up on any DLC. Last I saw they only sold 350k. Sadly, not enough to support the sequels it appears. I thoroughly loved Too Human, one of my all-time fav games on the 360, but it sure sparked loads of hate, much of which was caused by some incredibly moronic PR...lookin at you DD.
The 360 version looks amazing on my HDTV. Can't imagine it being much better, but some can notice I guess. Certainly not a reason to either not play it, or switch, lol, after playing an extended time.
I really enjoyed 2 plays, one paragon, and the second renegade. I recommend a second run just for all the funny shit Shepard says and the reactions he gets as full renegade....also his complexion change makes him look pretty evil/badass,lol. Then there's the other women to woo......
And btw, I tried to like Dragon Age on the 360, but after 15 or so hrs. I just dropped it. Man that game was boring, tedious, and just plain looked bad. Much better experience on the pc I guess.
Congrats tc on your S rank. FFXIII is no joke on the achieves. The treasure hunter alone seems redic: You have to find every weapon for every character, and teir 2 them all!!! Then you also have to teir 3 one for every character as well correct? A buddy who also S ranked it told me my Gladius sword for Light has 26 lvls to get to the next tier!! Just crazy. I can see doing that in the game to improve each character, but that is a crapload of harvesting and upgrade time. How many hours would you say you spent just in the upgrade screens? BTW, I agree with you on the combat system; it's brilliant and the whole paradigm switching strategies business is genius.
