Not usually, unless either I really like the game and I wanna run through a campaign and see and do everything. Games with options like ME, or the rare game like Halo that gets their highest difficulty right. Gears games did too. MW2 was also really cool on veteran, unlike most of the other CoDs though. They required you to try different tactics and really master the control scheme. And for me I love co-op so playing on high diff can be the only way to preserve any challenge...depends on the game though. I guess some games are so fun you just wanna check out everything and all diffs and challenges.

Racing games on highest diff usually don't work very well..too much rubberband and crazy AI. Also for me action games stay on normal or easy, and I can barely get through them on that. RPGs it depends. Like FO:NV had a very cool survival mode that I really enjoyed on a subsequent playthrough. In general though I'd say most games have pretty weakly developed difficulty differences. Too simple, lazy, and cheap like others itt have mentioned.

I learned that sadly there are no games I want to play on PS4 currently. At least there's Forza 5 on Xone. Both systems look like great foundations for this gen. Can't wait to see some devs really tap into all the new power. UI on the one is confusing at first, but the more you fuck with it the easier things get and you start to see what they were going for. Pretty fun so far actually. Neeed games though.....and cross system chat (one to 360, where a ton of my friends are still).

Mine's on it's way, tracking number and all. Just praying it comes after 4:00PM PST, as I'm at work 'till then. Everything comes later for me though usually, but watch this be the lone exception....hope not. :S

Loved both games, but Mass Effect 2 was a transcendent experience for me, all the while making me care more for characters in a video game than I ever had before.

Meanwhile the atmosphere and tension that DS creates is just amazing. I voted for ME2 but both games are deserving and both are two of my all-time favs anyway.

@pweidman: Can I ask you a quick question. I am playing the game at the moment and have just got to a bit where I have been invited to meet the Duke or King or something and go on a Wyrm hunt. The spiel says that doing this will cancel all my quests and I should finish them up. Is this the last mission in the game? Because it really doesn't feel as if I have done much main story wise at all. All I have done is escort missions and side quests. Can you help - I want to explore more if it is the final mission because there still seems to be lots of the map un-opened, but if there is still a long way to go it would be handy to know.

No not even close to the end. All that is referenced there are some early quest stuff that you might not have completed, mostly things just after you leave the coastal village. Check your quest log and decide. I wouldn't worry much. The Wyrm Hunt is the beginning of some pretty big quests, so if you feel ready, go for it. Also don't worry about the areas on the map you haven't been to. You'll go everywhere pretty much as part of all the sp quests and story. If you're playing the DA version, don't forget to drop the fast travel crystals strategically on the map as you get them. Really takes away the tedium of all the walking after you get those in place.

If you liked fighting the huge and tough bosses in the vanilla game, you really shouldn't miss all that the expansion to DD has to offer. Yes you need to be over lvl 50 at least and it's pretty brutal at first, but as you lvl and find the gear and weapons on the Isle things get very fun. Don't forget you can rent pawn's for free from friends and the higher lvl ones are beastly and will really help if you're too weak for some parts. Dark Arisen is my fav expansion of all-time. Sooo great.

Super psyched for Destiny. It's a Bungie game first, and it has all the components of my favorite genres.

Not as much for Titanfall, but I have no doubt it'll be good and super popular. Maybe a new twist on competitive mp will spur some fresh ideas in a very tired genre.

I love the complete vote of no confidence for Ryse.

OK, I guess someone has faith. I'm still giving it a shot cuz I can't just play BF4 and Forza, now can I?

Dragon's Dogma, and then DD:Dark Arisen. Diablo 3 on pc and 360. Dragon Age Origins on pc and 360. 2 copies of Demon's Souls accidentally through Amazon. 2 copies of Battlefield 2 on 360 because the first one cracked from so much use, lol. Gotta be more but care cup's empty.
