That really sucks and makes me mad that there isn't tighter restriction around being granted unemployment pay. Working in retail at any level is just a shitty situation for anyone who is a decent human being.

You can also get 2 years of unemployment, where just a few years ago you only got 6 months. I've had several times where I could've received some form of government, but I always lucked out with a new job.

I was very curious, played the alpha, really liked it, got to that one boss with four legs, fucking hated it, tried the beta, started liking it, yet again got to a boss...... stopped playing.

Its too similar to Borderlands in the bullet sponge area; I don't want to attack a boss in its weakpoint and watch its health take 10 minutes to scratch off, that shit is boring. Now I don't care about it at all.

The Wolf Among Us Season 2 (now fully out)

I think you either meant season 1 or Walking Dead season 2

Wolfenstein The New Order, just going to throw that out there every single time. Its the one game that pops into my head instantly with this question.

I've played mostly old games this year, including ones released this year that are remakes/ports. Wolfenstein is the only new game I've really put time into and thoroughly enjoyed.

Wolfenstein The New Order is the best FPS right now. Nevermind the story, the level design, the health/armor mechanics, just the feeling of the weapons themselves is worth the purchase

Kotaku is saying the Gat DLC is 19.95, and this article is saying Saints Row 4 new-gen is 29.99 but a bundle of SR4 and Gat DLC is 49.99

.......if all the info is accurate, buying them seperately will save you a few cents. Its Plants vs Zombies 2 all over again.

What are you even talking about?

Its a joke about how buying the bundle, which is the "better deal" actually cost more than buying the content separately (even if it is a couple pennies)

I don't know what world people complaining about this are living in or how long you've been playing games in general.

There is a difference between a port to another platform and a remake.

Valve made Half-Life 2. Once. It's one game. They released it on PC and then on the Xbox and later on 360 and PS3. Resident Evil made its way to the Sega Saturn a year after launching on PS1. Remedy made Max Payne for PC before Rockstar ported it later on PS2 and Xbox.

Games are released on tons of different platforms all the time, always have been and not always moving forward with better hardware. The 3 examples i gave already are proof of that. Games going from PC, to old consoles, to new consoles... etc.

I don't really get it that much either, most of the ports are games I missed out on waiting for a total collection or just missed out on period(Sleeping Dogs, the new Tomb Raider) games I rented for a day but never finished (Saints Row 4) or games I really enjoyed but stopped playing after I beat them once (Last of Us, Metro series)

All of which I eventually buy again because I enjoyed them the first time and they are games I know I liked and would enjoy with upgraded versions plus all the DLC is included.

I think part of people's complaints is that there is more AAA ports being released than there are brand new AAA games.

Kinect just can't get a break.

Reminds me of one of the Kotaku guys getting his apartment broken into and every console was stolen except for the Wii U

Not exactly what I want out of a site that once called itself "Good Old Games", but I guess it isn't hurting anything.

That title was meaningless the second they started selling brand new games/taking pre orders for games. Its not just Good Old Games anymore
