That was exactly my thought train.

It is a really well designed, difficult but fair, platformer. Also, kick-ass music and graphics, but it's probably easier to appreciate those features if you know what a C64 is. (Actually, see Game Room for reference of that era.) Some also quite funny video game-y in-jokes, as well.

After I got over the initial "You got some Portal in my Darksiders, bro!" moment, every minute spent redirecting lasers became pure hell in a can. It wasn't clever; it wasn't original. It was sheer tedium, and about ten times worse than Ocarina's infamous water temple. I mean, I don't mind some puzzles in games, but I think the combat/puzzle ratio in that dungeon is really unbalanced. It got to the point where I'd spent so much time redirecting fucking lasers that when some enemies finally appeared it took me a while to get back into the fighting again.

GameRoom. Even if GFWL goes, Microsoft will release something else to replace it. They have to have some sort of presence on the gaming PC.

Chrome's been crashing on me a lot lately, but the Firefox beta feels just as slow as the previous final release. I might even end up going with Opera. :O

I was one of those pretty pissed off by the IW debacle, mostly because of the way they chose to handle it. Major PR faux-pas, there.

This doesn't bother me. Exclusivity agreements aren't particularly great, from whichever angle you look at them, but it's just a fact of the business world that they exist. One of the main worries about exclusivity is that it allows companies to charge a premium on their service or product and stunt innovation. From those in the know, I've heard that the prices being offered are quite reasonable. And as long as the pings are low, I'm a happy camper. There's no real scandal here.
