You need to PM a moderator. Of course I've been moderated and I take it in stride and learn from it.

It's for entertainment.  I'm not trying to be mean.  I don't think that the subject of moderating should be OFF LIMITS.  I'm not looking for a fight I just think it's funny.  Evidently it's a very serious subject.  Also I stand corrected about FPS' vs rail shooters.  I forget about how bad some FPS' are.

Yes. I know a moderator who moderated me, a moderator and then got moderated. I think MB banned me and Hamz unbanned me. And then I banned Hamz and he unbanned himself. Or something."

Sorry to upset the balance.  I'm sure no one with power would ever over step their bounds, and discussing such a thing could only cause unwanted trouble.  (sarcasm)  Good God!  Can every body be serious.  That we should never question a moderator.  I don't think they are bad people or anything, I'm just kind of shocked about the whole  go with the flow, thing.  I mean, it's very important to question authority.  If not then things quickly get out of hand.

I got a warning from a moderator that I consider to be a friend on this site. Things happen, you just have to learn from your mistakes and move on.

Let me be free like a little flying animal or plastic bag man......wait before I get banned let me explain.  I posted a blog about Midway being hard up for money, which they are, and it get's locked and some reason the moderator thinks it's a prostitution post.  LAME.  Yes, yes, it was titled "Midway will suck you off for a Cheeseburger" but it was all in good fun.  The point was that Midway, the video game company, was looking at selling the Mortal Kombat franchise just to survive, and I was using crude comedy to illustrate that.  NEXT!  So I got in trouble on another site for saying that the worst FPS was still better then the best Rail shooter.  So, they say I'm trolling.  Which I wasn't.  I truly believe that any rail shooter would be better as a free moving FPS.  Fast forward to moments ago when I post a little skit about moderators being creepy.  LOCKED!  Come on!  I think that a discussion about moderators being creepy is a fair forum topic.  So what about you folks?  Ever been banned, or had a comment moderated.  Are you a moderated that has been moderated?  Do you know a moderator, or better yet do you know a moderator who moderated a moderator and then got moderated for moderating the moderator?"

I'm just playing!  It's a joke.   I realize that on any other site I would have been banned.  Thats why it funny.  Speaking of which.  I will repost my blogs on Gamespot and lets see how many seconds it takes me to get banned.

I have seen many moderators (none on this site... YET) whose actions basically contradict the terms or use/rules of their own forums.

I definitely had a post moderated here, but hey, who hasn't? Poking fun at mods in general SHOULD be ok, as long as the post content does not violate the terms of use.

Specifically:

• No racism or other comments that incite hate between users.

I don't remember being moderated here or most of the sites I go to except GS back in the day.

I ban without reason or motivation, all I see are potential new ban victims.....

But back to the serious issue at hand here. Moderation on GiantBomb is pretty laid back to the point it creates a more relaxed atmosphere around here instead of people constantly feeling like they are walking on eggshells when posting. The biggest rules are don't be a dick and don't abuse the wiki system. Abide by those and the others laid out in the Forum + Wiki FAQ and we'll all get along fine.

Also I will ban anyone who hates on Andrew Ryan and his monologues.....

Think of the forum mods as your mum. She'll tell you off when you do something bad, but you'd have to do something really terrible for her to throw you out.

I ban for the shits and giggle...and the chicks, can't forget about the chicks! I once banned a chick so hard that she ended up giving birth to a spider-baby (I'll promise not to ban you for one day if you get that reference).

I just realised that I have never been moderated here.  Oh man, I'm really starting to slip.  Actually, I have finally realised that none of you are real and therefore, not worth arguing with.  It has only taken me 4 years of the internet to figure it out :-)

Meh, they are providing a free forum, game news etc, I'm happy for whatever I get.

Haven't been Moderated yet.... But i am a Moderator (NOT on this site). I consider myself fair. I think i've only banned 1 person before and that was because he was a serious Jerk and did not follow the rules of our Forum. He spammed my PM box with Hate mail and then he spammed the PM boxes of 2 or 3 other Moderators on the site and well that sealed the deal. This guy actually pissed me off so bad that i wrote he an extremely angry poem that he will probably never get to read since he is no longer welcome at are site.
