I visit Screened and Giant Bomb about the same. Do more editing on Screened though. There's just more to do there. In a close third is Tested. Rarely been to comic vine. Don't know if I have even been to Anime Vice.

If we were trying to be a scumbag company sure. If that were the case you'd see paywalls on quicklooks and not content that is already provided free in parellel from two other sources (the live feed and the JTV archive). "
Honestly, that is the reason I signed up for a subscription. I hate when sites block off key content from people who can't afford to subscribe. When you guys first starting about a subscription service, before the features were announced, I knew this site would be the first place I ever actually subscribed. I really couldn't care less about the features. Sure it's all nice stuff to have but I really just did because I wanted to support you guys. If all of the sudden you started going around and blocking off content, I don't think I would feel the same way.

@supermike6: It's not so much an incentive as an added bonus. Supporting this awesome network of websites to make sure they stay afloat is really the only incentive...plus the Happy Hour, HD videos, etc.

I always consume every piece of Whiskey Media content regardless of the level of interest to me simply because I like having stuff on in the background while I'm working on things. Hearing Ryan make some dumb joke every once and a while is enough for me. TNTs are fantastic regardless of the game being played because it's two hours of content where I don't have to constantly go back and load something else up. Plus most of the time it's not really that compelling to watch somebody else play a game but the Whiskey Media brand of humor never seems to get old. Justin.tv always seems to find ways to make watching stuff difficult and the quality is pretty solid but not nearly as good as Whiskey Media content.

So in short, I love this idea. :P

I really appreciate the staff always looking out for it's members especially those of us who are subscribers. It's one of the many things that makes Whiskey Media so great. Thanks for all of the hard work!

@pweidman: You know there is a First Strike playlist right? I think most people with the maps are in there, I know I am. So people in the regular playlist probably don't have them therefore don't vote for them.

This news pleases me greatly. I'm one of the few that loved the first game.

I think $15 is a bit steep for a map pack but it's what Activision got away with on MW2 so no reason for them to change it now. I will (and already have) pay for that price for them anyway because I just want something new at this point which of course makes me part of the problem. I never bought the MW2 packs though since I didn't like the MP as much and stopped playing it by the time the maps hit. Really though I feel like it's either $15 for 5 maps on Blops or some second rate Xbox Live Arcade shooter with 5 maps that people will stop playing within a week anyway. When you look at it like that, First Strike is a no brainer. I love Zombies so the 5th map being a Zombies map isn't a problem for me.

Anyway to the point of the thread. It does seem like these maps are a bit campier than normal with Discovery being the worst but I don't know if it's just because the maps are new or what. When I first started playing Blops on launch day I noticed the same thing. People not knowing the maps so instead of running around figuring it out they would just all camp together. So hopefully that gets worked out of everybody's systems after awhile because I do really like the design of all 4 maps. Kowloon is easily my favorite and Berlin Wall probably my least favorite but I'd still rather play it over Jungle.

Am the only one who sees "Halo: CE" and think people are talking about the collector's edition of Halo? Always takes me a minute to go "Oh yea, Combat Evolved".

Great teaser. Remind anybody else of the Tron: Legacy trailer?

To be honest the quick look actually got me interested in it. I'm not a huge MMO person, mostly because I don't like fantasy games like WoW or even Oblivion. I just don't care for the setting. The actiony controls really appealed to me so I went out and bought it. I really enjoy it. Sure it has all of the problems Jeff mentioned but I still really dig it. This is one of those rare occasions where I disagree with Jeff.

Man I hate quests that make you watch quick looks that you have already watched especially when it was two months ago. Trailers are at least short.

I think the second concept must bugged because it doesn't seem like anybody is getting it.
