I always have SIDPlay ready to roll if I wanna listen to C64 tunes. That Bionic Commando one is by Tim Follin, my favourite C64 musician. Dude was the Rick Wakeman of the beige box.

Don't forget System 3's MYTH. That game has probably the best music I ever heard on the C-64.

Things like this and the C-64 Orchestra show just how well crafted and catchy a lot of the old themes were. And they achieved them on about four tracks of crackly old MIDI.

These days games have 60 piece orchestras and Hans Zimmer writing music for them... and I don't recall a single note.

Modern game music has become mostly wallpaper, just like it has for movies. There's too much of it and it's not memorable enough.

My personal favorite is Jetpac, they didn't get to that one, but it's a lot of fun.

Before Nintendo goes after this guy for the controllers, i think S ony needs to go after Nintendo for the

controller they are bundling with Monster Hunter, its a PS2 controller! unless they paid Sony for it... but i doubt they did!

The SID (Sound Interface Device) was the C64's sound chip.
