Shame the video is unwatchable. For the last couple months it only saves at 720p no matter what option you select so it's laggy as all fuck and can't be watched. Get the real archives up please. Tired of needing to hunt around the forums and youtube for archives that other people have made and uploaded.

Cliff has to keep it neutral since he doesn't have a job yet, but I'm pretty sure deep down that he hates the Xbone's stance on consumer rights.

I don't believe they've ever uploaded video archives of these. It's been tough in the past to get all the video saved and processed while also working on show floor interviews and videos; I imagine that getting everything stolen put a bit of a crimp in whatever plans they might have had to do so this year.

If you've got issues with the Twitch player, you can hit the wrench icon on their video thing to report whatever issues you're having.

I wouldn't be so sure, from following him on twitter he seems to think everyone is just whining and should suck it up. After all, the XBone only cost like "one night in a great Manhattan hotel."

These E3 podcasts are the best thing. Hearing real people talk about making games can't be beaten.

Weird, I could have sworn I remember watching archives of these on the site in the past but I can't seem to find them.

I have tried the reporting thing on twitch but it's just a waste of time. I have no problems watching archives of other peoples twitch stuff and it seems to be a GB only thing. For me atleast.

While he didn't say it here, I really don't understand what Cliff has been saying about used games and AAA games on twitter the past couple days. Like when he said this:

You cannot have game and marketing budgets this high while also having used and rental games existing. The numbers do NOT work people.

Granted, game budgets are much bigger than they used to be, but it is the publisher's job to make the numbers work. Expecting the consumer to take the hit by limiting their ability to resell their content isn't going to increase revenue. All the money people get from trading money in goes to their next game purchase or two, so if anything, it functions to allow for more game sales, not less. If your problem is that devs/pubs do not get a cut of profits when the game is resold, take that shit up with the people profiting off it. I personally rarely trade a game in these days because the credit you get sucks, especially compared to what Gamestop or whoever resells the game for, but the answer is not to limit gamer's ability to trade or resell their games. You either need to temper your budgets (maybe start by not spending 100-200% of your development budget on marketing) or work out a system with major game resellers to where you get a cut of the profits, but putting the onus on the consumer is completely the wrong approach.

If Hollywood can make it work with digital downloads, rentals, digital rentals, and trading and reselling of Blu-rays/DVDs, there is NO reason the games industry cannot figure it out without grinding the consumer into the dirt. It's been proven that approach doesn't lead to more profits, it leeds to exponentially more piracy and profit loss.

I think I would recommend watching the Twitch archive for anyone who missed the live show. I feel like a lot of this show won't work as a podcast, specifically when John Drake is screaming at Brad Muir, stripping off all his clothes and double fisting Diet Cokes.

Having watched the frantic PR-driven air-light background-noise-destroyed "hands on" videos put up by rev3games (nothing against them specifically, it's the format), sitting back and watching the GB crew and Cliff and Blow just talk about games is like stepping into a warm familiar place where everyone knows your name and no one is trying to sell you shit.

When they said they were surprised that they rated high enough to get these people, I was like "Oh look at them being all modest." Now that I know who they actually got I'm pretty surprised myself.

I've enjoyed these past two days, but if day three is without Johnny V, Boyes, or Vin Dog, I will riot.

E3 is a lockdown, baby. It drives me crazy.

Just thought of something when cliffy b and j blow were discussing used games. Maybe the fact that games will cost more at launch will keep more timmies away from m rated games.

The Jon Blow and Cliff Bleszinski segment was one of the best interview segments I've ever seen. Two very different designers, but both thoughtful, respectful, transparently honest, and funny in their own way. Just a fantastic conversation.

I really wish Patrick was on the second segment. He was really good at steering the direction with Jonathan Blow and Cliffy.

yeah- this one was fantastic. at first i thought cliffy b. was going to dominate the discussion, but johnny b. served as a really excellent counterbalance. and talk about different ends of the spectrum...which made it especially interesting when they agreed on many points. nice job boys!

Jonathan Blow's point that a single-player game shouldn't know whether or not the machine is connected to the internet because it's just another point of possible failure (from an engineering standpoint) was a really good point. I had never thought of it like that.

O god Cliff B is like the biggest xbox bro I've ever seen lol, backwards cap, "fucking" or "shit" in literally every sentence, seemingly defending disc DRM cause he's rich and fuck you, over the top flaming reddit and other discussion forums (bit hypocritical there since he's flaming people as hard as people flame Microsoft). Guess it makes sense given he worked on the Gears of War games. Him, Jeff and Ryan we're pretty funny at times. Was fun to see Cliff in the same discussion as John Blow, probably his polar opposite, made for an interesting dynamic, great lineup.

Awesome damn show, especially the 3rd segment that was damn hilarious, Brad Miur <3<3
