Quick Look: EX: Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse

SO EXCITED

Loved the TRON reference..it seems kinda cool..i've never played any of these games, but this one seems cool..

I too was hoping for Jake, but you know it would have devolved into f-bombs and awkward jokes about sex with horse bags or something. Which would have been great, but probably not what Telltale was hoping for.

at first I thought it was insane to have a QLEX of Sam & Max, and then it made sense.
 Also, I MUST FINISH BOTH SEASONS!

360s had enough exclusives over the past few years. It's time they let other people have fun. "

I don't know if I should grab it for PC or try it out on PS3... Both maybe? :P

not done with season 2 yet but i hope this one comes to the Wii at some point. Might work on my girlfriends mac.

That's what I do with my favorite 'indie' devs/pubs, or just those that I like in general. I have Sam&Max on my Tell-Tale account, but I also have it on Steam and on disk. "

Looks great. And I'm all for supporting these guys with more season pass purchases after getting an email from Telltale reminding me I'm entitled to a free disc of the Monkey Island series. It's been said before, but they do episodic better than anyone.

Love the fact that it's coming out day and date on the PSN and the PC!!

Game looks awesome as always but even better with the new controls, love how the computers from season 1 return for more hilarity.

I played the first season and it was really good. I need to play some more of TTG's games. :3

Man this game is way light (bright gray "blacks" instead of dark ones) once they get in-engine. And combined with the way GB rips videos at inconsistent blackness levels, my five hotkeys that switch between pre-defined gamma levels just won't go dark enough.

I barely heard a word ryan or the developers said because I was focusing on the game dialogue. I don't really feel like watching the video over to listen to what they were saying, either. They might as well have not spoken at all.

I'm surprised at how much better this seems than the first 2 seasons. Looks like they've improved stuff in almost every aspect - puzzles, interface, graphics and just the overall presentation. Yay.

Maybe it's the fact I'm British and it's made by Americans, but I just didn't laugh all that much whilst playing the first season of Sam & Max.
I mean, don't get me wrong, I do get American humour (as proof of this I'll say now that I love the monkey island games for their sense of humour. Also, on a humour related level, I've watched Airplane so many times, and it still cracks me up.)
But I just didn't find the first season funny.

I'll buy it on PS3!! odd its not on Xbox or Wii yet? They just wanted to make us PS3 guys feel special since they ignored us before :)

Pretty nice improvement from earlier episodes. Hopefully they will release the whole season as one package on 360.

I hate Quick Look EX since the Giantbombsquad never really lets lose and tell things like it is.

Looks like a great Sam & Max game, it was a bit hard to keep track of the game and everything that was being said by the developers, Jeff and Ryan at the same time though.

I cannot be more bored watching this.

The new TTG logo is effing siiiick.

I've played a few hours of Penal Zone now and was excited about finally being able to watch this, but then I realised it's an EX about The Devil's Playhouse, so I still can't risk it.
