Someone saw Bayonetta and saw potential in a fighting game based on it?

The art style is really striking, I'm a fan indeed. Certainly eye catching.

This has a real Scott Pilgrim vibe in terms of the character designs. It's something I theoretically should hate, but I like it here.

I like how models are different looking in night arenas.

Wow, 18 minutes and 2 fighters. Way earlier than I expected.

I wonder if those "no smoking" circles when you block will be in the final build, I really like that.

 
Huh, i didnt get that it was a fighting game from the trailer the other day.  Thought it was a side scrolling brawler....

Nice quick look but what is this coming out on? PSN and XBLA or just one of them. It looks like it might be alright.

Buddy you're doing an interview, be less dickish and Brad's asking these questions for the audience not for himself. You have to think people might not know what 'versus' is.

The background art reminds me of a Miyazaki movie.

I think I saw at least some early art for this game a couple of years ago... In any case I love the look this game has. I'll definitely keep an eye out for this.
 
On a side note, I've heard Jeff and Brad talk about the rather poor state of tutorials for fighting games before and would like to mention that BlazBlue Continuum Shift's tutorial mode is very comprehensive, it covers basic techniques that covers the fighting game genre as a whole, as well as different levels of advanced techniques unique to the franchise. I have yet to see a fighting game do a better tutorial mode then this.

I do like the character design and the way each one's fighting style is an extension of their hair/hat, but I'm not huge into fighting games.

Nice to see a game in the works instead of a polish demo, allows you to see where they will polish it up.

Well, that looks obnoxious as hell...

Man it took them a long time to discuss the gameplay, and they didn't discuss the story behind the characters. The whole "ladies fighting with magical hats" seems like it might have a cool backstory.

It might be interesting for some, but I'm generally less interested in the business side. I would've loved to hear aobut some concepts for upcoming characters, though. Also, the infinite solution was really nice. 

I kinda hate the art style. But to each his own I guess.

I like the character design and the game play. I'm not a really a fan of the HUD and menu. They  just look plain to me and the character select screen gives you descriptions based on each character and you just sort of pick choices to get a character?  Call me old fashioned but I'd rather just have a character select screen like every other fighting game. I realize that the game is still in development but I don't know. I do appreciate game developers trying new things though I suppose.

Rich but static background with very smooth animation...with the deco theme and film terminology, along with the abilities so far having to do something with head, can't really tell what stylish effect they're trying to achieve.  
 
BTW, I bet these guys played Sengoku Rance, one of the characters is more or less a direct ripoff of one of the characters in the eroge.

I think I will stick with Arcana Heart 3 if I want my anime girl fighting game. The art style is just a bit to western for how I like my anime. I am sure it will be a good game just not for me.

Looks interesting. The art I don't mind though some of the designs are a little questionable. 
 
I'll have to try it. It's nice to see sprite based fighters still coming out in some venue though.

I think it's blatantly obvious what art is final and what isn't. The character design and animations are gorgeous! I'm really surprised that a small team fighting game manages to stand out to me. Going in, I thought it would be really generic, and for the first minute, I thought it was... But it's actually really, really good looking. Hope this goes well for them!
