Hmm, I don't care much for fighting games.. But sure, I'm up for some more crazy Japanese shit.

I laughed so hard at the flowchart Ken the Eagle comment.

I would play this, but not on a Wii.

I loved the first Marvel Vs. Capcom (not so much the second one), and this looks to be very much in the same style as that. I can't wait to play this.

If you want a fighter on the Wii then King Of Fighters: The Orochi Saga or Samurai Showdown Anthology would be better bets unless you wanna go vor the Virtual Console.
But those two games you can more or less get for a wink and a smile nowadays.

I generally feel the same as Jeff about the Vs. series, but Capcom v. SNK was awesome.

No Frank West? Quick Lame is more like it...

Looks compelling to me, like fun casual gameplay.  I find I generally have pretty different fighting tastes from Jeff (hated SFIV, loved BlazBlue) so I think it may actually be something I like.

I like the vs series.

Viewtiful Joe was in the Japanese version, just unlockable. Also lol at people not liking because it is on the Wii.

Yeah, it always seemed to me that something like Capcom Vs. SNK 2 or SVC: Chaos was something more up Jeff's ally.

Tekkaman has Pegas, but it isn't a big robot character too?  Weak.

No offense to Jeff, who I genuinely like... but seriously, don't review this. Or fighting games in general. [Blazblue anyone?]
 
You're mediocre and aren't going to try to actually check out the depth of it...
What exactly would you be reviewing then? How neat it looks?
 
Also, if anyone doesn't buy it because of Jeff's lack of enthusiasm... you're a bloody stupid sheep. Read a review from a knowledgeable person, such as:

It's annoying to think that this Jeff reviewed Blazblue... I mean, on what "authority" did he do that?
He doesn't know his fightang gaems, he's not really checking them out... It's annoying.

this game just straight up isnt great. 
 
its competent, its not broken, bad, or wrong. its just not good. it doesnt feel good. 
 
characters have too much health, damage is very low, matches just drag on and on, and the pace is super slow. people who directly equate the way the game plays to mvsc2 or even the earlier vs games blow my mind. its nowhere near that fast, frantic, or most importantly, fun. 
 
its an average game at best, maybe edging out capcom fighting jam. maybe.

Shame that EVO is taking out Marvel vs Capcom 2 and replace it with this game.

If Ryan wants to watch an anime he's sure to like, try Cromartie High.  The English dub is fantastic.

Ryan was at least an order of magnitude ( x 1000) out in calling the "x" billion scores.  
 
Don't forget those extra digits folks; meaning Jeff was infact scoring in the "trillions" (unless, of course, the game used the traditional british intermediate term for "thousand billion", which would then make the score US "quadrillions" or Euro "billiards".
