Only one quest for me today since I don't want any of the games. Well, I do want Mafia 2 but not for that price.

" Only getting the first quest this time. Don't really wanna buy any of the games for quests. "Same here. If I start buying games that I don't want for the possibility of winning more games, then that's the moment I've officially gone astray...
" @nintendoeats said:It seems functional. There seems to be a lot of potential for nickel and diming. I still haven't figured out how to modify my deck, I'm not sure that I can. I'll probably play around with it some more anyway." Am I a terrible person for buying Duals of the Planeswalkers? I guess its cheaper than running the risk of wanting to get back into the game some day. "Yes :P Was it worth it? I checked out the demo yesterday and couldn't quite decide. "
I've already have given some gifts so that's it for today. I'm not sure if should buy L4D2, I was kind of waiting for a deal on the Left 4 Dead bundle. I have 8, I'm almost guaranteed to qualify for the final drawing. \o/
EDIT: Scratch that, a friend needed the gift objective so we split the cost of the 4 pack so now we have L4D2.
" @HaroldoNVU: The person had to accept the gift. Solved. "Great.
Anyone knows how much time should take me to unlock that achievement on L4D2? It's gonna take me some time to finish download the game at 100 k/s. I'm gonna left it downloading all night and give it a shot tomorrow.
" @Diamond said:Maybe about 30min-1hour? The achievement is outlined here, assuming you play through each level or around half of it once you should get the achievement." @HaroldoNVU: The person had to accept the gift. Solved. "Great. This xD" If anyone needs the treasure to send a gift to a friend, then I wouldn't mind taking Shatter. =p Only $2.50. "
I am thinking of buying Shatter. Is it worth it for 2.50?
Edit: Scratch that. Jeff reviewed it. 4 stars. No more info need, really.
What's the L4D2 objective? Is just to get that achievement? The 6 infected or something?
" Or you know, I'll give it to the first person that wants it. "I'd love Shatter, please.
" @FlamingHobo said:I've PM'd you." @Geno said:Sure just PM or post Steam ID. "" Or you know, I'll give it to the first person that wants it. "I'd love Shatter, please. "
" @ch13696 said:It's very much worth it. So yeah, if anyone wants to gift it to me, my username is ch13696. Free gifts are always welcome. =pThis xD I am thinking of buying Shatter. I can't get the shatter score. Tips? It's a really awesome game, I forget this existed after the quicklook so I'm glad this quest re-introduced it to me.
*shakes head* valve is very good at sales, they disguise them and people actually applaud them for getting people to spend money..
this isn't a dig against Valve or steam by the way it just amazes me...every one else is just having a sale or wants money...but Valve does it on steam and people cream in their pants and applaud Valve...
@AlisterCat: Keep trying, I guess. I got it at the 3rd try so I can't see it be too difficult.
@WilliamRLBaker: What do you mean, disguise? The discount appears right near the price. And it's not like others don't make sales, but Steam appears to make very good ones. L4D2 for 3.50? Can't get that anywhere else. Alpha Protocol and Metro 2033 are roughly 6 months old and they were on sale for less than 10 bucks a few weeks back.
" @Geno: How far into Metro do you need to go in order to "Become a Nosalis Hunter"? "Probably at least a couple of hours. You'll need to kill 30 of them and you don't see them in any large quantity until at least an hour into the game. Assuming you play the game to finish it though the challenge is a breeze.
cool, I'm on the draw. Now I'm just doing the easy ones to try and unlock the second hat. Not that I care all that much, I already have the best hat ever: Max's severed head.
I want Just Cause 2 and Metro 2033. Are they worth £5? They aren't likely to be cheaper in the christmas sales.
" @Geno said:" Metro 2033 and JC2 are both worth it if you have a relatively high end PC. "How high end? I am thinking of buying it. "
Depends of course on what settings you want to play at, but I wouldn't use anything less than an HD 6870 or GTX 470 (for medium-high settings). Higher or max settings require even more.
Here are the performance numbers for JC2 at various settings and Metro 2033 at various settings to help you make your decision.
@Geno: Hum. It seems a bit too much. I am using a laptop with a 9600M GT, if I am not mistaken. It actually isn't that bad. Games like L4D2, ME2, Alpha Protocol, CIV V, MW2 play on mid-high settings. Maybe I'll try Just Cause 2, since I wanna play that one too.
Has anyone got the Just Cause 2 objective? How long would it take?
I am thinking of getting Just Cause 2 and Metro 2033. Is that a bad decision? Should I just buy one of those? Or none?
~3.8mil on Survival is about the equivalent of a 5-7 minute song on Hardcore difficulty. It's easy enough if you're already rank Elite (since the ranks confer bonuses to you, with Elite's being quite handy), but if you're buying the game and jumping right in it might be tricky if twin-stick shooters aren't your thing.
I actually went back to it for the objective and hit over 6mil on the first try (at Elite rank), so it's definitely not impossible. I eventually died at 9:53, seven seconds off the next achievement, so that was nice.
It took less time than downloading and watching all those damn trailers did. I still feel dirty. Portal 2 & Deus Ex are looking fun though.
" It took less time than downloading and watching all those damn trailers did. I still feel dirty. Portal 2 & Deus Ex are looking fun though. "I'm going to ruin your day: You could have exited the trailer right after it had started and it would still unlock as "watched".
