What is the correct pronunciation? The Giant Bomb staffers seem to say "Oobi-soft" but I find that weird. I've always said it as "Youbi-Soft".

You should have made this a poll.

I say it somewhere in the middle, but leaning more toward "you" as opposed to "ooo."

I tried to be cool and use the U with the two dots (no clue what that's called) like in the word Uber, but the character didn't show up :(

You be soft. Same way I say Tuna or Puma. It's not spelt Toona or Pooma so I don't know why people pronounce it like that.

Either oobisoftz or youbesoftz, as long as it ends with a z, the Ubisoftz way.

Oh, and I say oo.

The real question is Seega or Sayga?

Yew-Be-Soft. Oo-Bi-Soft sounds like something out of a nature channel to me.

I remeber a video somewhere where someone is talking to a YOObisoft employee about a certain game and everytime the journalist said "OObisoft" the person from YOObisoft corrected them...

I have a tendency to create threads that should have been polls.

I use to say U-B-soft but it's correctly pronounced oobi-soft I think after hearing several people who work there call it that.

well since the last E3 we all noticed the Ubisoft issue, so i suggest you lock this thread and start another one as a poll, that would be really great and you get a double salute.
its your thread though so as you wish =]

I pronounce it oobisoft.
It's a shame they didn't take the opportunity to throw an umlaut on there when they started the company. It could have helped straighten out any confusion and look awesome at the same time.

You-B-Soft

I pronounce it Oo-bee-soft, and always thought that's how it was. But since at E3 2009 all the Ubisoft presenters pronounced it You-bee-soft, I'm pretty sure that's the correct pronunciation.
