Only in the context of e-sports, like competitive StarCraft, Street Fighter, etc.  
I don't think it can be considered sport if you just play casually online, but if you're at a high level in a complex game like Street Fighter, I'd say that's a sport.

@Glentennis: Good find! The music seems totally out of place in those adverts, even after associating it with TNT and video games... :P

It's quite possible that Activision will just make so many Call of Duty games that absolutely everyone will dislike it, but it's good to see they haven't bothered with another Guitar Hero or Tony Hawk game. Also, separate CoD subscription, the idea makes me rage unless they release all map packs for free.

Also a general question: Is it worth adding other smaller game download services like Gamersgate, or are they just dwarfed by Steam and Windows and thus unimportant?

Haha, them's the breaks, new deals next Monday. I'll probably be getting the Space Invaders game, I was seriously underwhelmed by those Serious Sam games. Very uninteresting and generic. I already own Geometry Wars, EVERYONE should own that game.

I figured since I often end up starting posts in forums informing people of deals to be found on downloadable games I'd just compile them all into a blog, if there are any deals I've missed, please PM me!
