Overview
Wartortle is the evolved form of Squirtle (one of the starter Pokémon in Pokémon versions Red & Blue and LeafGreen & FireRed). Wartortle is slightly taller than Squirtle, and it has gained a larger tail, and large blue ears, used for balance while swimming.
As a Water-type Pokémon, Wartortle is weak against Electric and Grass-type moves, taking 100% more damage from these types of attacks. However, it only takes 50% of standard damage from Fire, Water, Ice, and Steel-type moves.
Wartortle first appeared in the Pokémon game series as the 2nd evolution form of one of the three starts in Red/Blue,Squirtle.
It first appeared in the Anime Cartoon series in episode 60 ("Beach Blank-Out Blastoise"). In this episode, a group of Squirtle and Wartortle were distressed because their leader, a Blastoise, had mysteriously fallen asleep and wouldn't wake up.
Evolution
Wartortle evolves from Squirtle at level 16, and evolves into Blastoise at level 36.
