I'm glad inFAMOUS is so high on that list, it really was a great game., but damn that was close for top spot.

It's a pretty narrow margin between Uncharted and Batman.  Impressive.  And I didn't vote for Ghostbusters.  That game sucked.

You don't know how glad I am to see Ratchet and Clank up there. Maybe the most underrated game of 2009.

Glad to see Street Fighter IV make the top ten.  Also pretty happy to see Beatles: Rock Band at least getting some love in the top fifteen.

Nice, looks like the community's taste match the reviewers pretty well.  Probably to be expected, but still nice to see. 
 
Good choices too, glad to see Uncharted 2 win it in the reader's choice too.  19 excellent games made the list.

Uncharted 2 defiantly earned it. Nice list except the absence of Battlefield 1943. I love that game!

man was shadow complex really THAT good? apparantly im missing out.

Glad to see Torchlight in there, really enjoyed that game. Strange to see Infamous and Shadow Complex beating Street Fighter IV, I wonder if that's more people with both a PS3 and 360 or simply Street Fighter IV's novelty value not lasting into the second half of 2009.
 
Can't disagree with the top 5, great to see Dragon Age: Origins there.

I am genuinely surprised that a later horse in the 2009 race, Torchlight, managed to make it in the top 20. As for the list itself I'd say it is a fairly solid one, and the fact over 16,000 people took time to create lists says a lot about our community here and how willing they are to take part in this sort of thing.

Would have loved to see AC2 and DAO above MW2 but...guess that just can't happen with so much MW2 :-P

I wanna know where Skate 2 was. I put it at number 1, so I know it got at least 10 points.
 
Although, looking at that list makes it apparent that a lot of good games came out this year. I should play some of them.

Super glad torchlight and demons souls made the list. Also uncharted rocks but DAMN batman was sooo close. 2009 was amazing lets just hope twenty ten is just as good or even better!

I'm amazed a Wii game made it onto that list.

Wow..it was a very close race  between Uncharted 2 and Batman.

I thought surely that my picks of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 would have gotten on there... heh

Poor Silent Hill. :/ Not that I had even the slightest expectation to see it on this list, but that game is actually mad good.

Also, Demon's Souls!?!  I thought I would be in the minority there but wow, 17th.  Hope From Software doesn't get used to all the good will because "Armored Core: For Answer II: The Answering" is probably still going to suck.

pretty much agree with the list though I'd like to have seen Dirt 2 in there and Forza 3 a bit higher in the list.

Congratulations to all the winners. Every game on that list is a good game on it own and I get amazed every time I look at it and realize the amount of good games we got this year. It's so heartwarming to see a game like inFAMOUS taking the #7 spot and games like Demon's Souls, and Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time make it to the top 20 list.  Looking forward to 2010.

I like the idea of tallying up the lists submitted by the community. Would be cool to have a monthly feature implemented like this with a news article at the end of the month to view and discuss the results.
