It's a little weird they are going for the same aesthetic given the failure that was the PSP. It wasn't a particularly comfortable device to hold either.

That's looking good. But since the 3ds launch was so weak this make this launch look very strong. If I can play my downloaded psp games the vita is looking good.

For someone who really doesn't give two shats about the vita, thats actually probably the best launch lineup of games for a game system ever. Granted, most of the games are ports or rehashes, but at least they're a great selection. I mean, rayman origins on the go? Marvel vs capcom 3 portable? Maybe with online play? Not half bad. I'm sure uncharted is going to be the seller. If only they could fix the problems it had in its japanese release.

But...who knows? Its possible other games may hit day 1. Not saying it should, but perhaps ridge racer could make it? Since it is out in japan now, alas a terrible version that is. The 3 tracks that are on it, are the same as on the psp game, but with better lighting effects. The cars look more like the 3ds game, which wasn't great.

You know...between the tekken hybrid and ridge racer...I start to wonder. Exactly WHAT are the folks at namco smoking? I'd love to know...

$100 doesn't seem too bad for a 32GB card. I spent around $70 for my 32GB SD card earlier this year. I guess that little Sony magic makes it more expensive.

Excellent point, one that most people (including the Giant Bomb staff, who almost all own iPhones and iPads) fail to realize. It's still pretty gross, and one of the reason's I've never owned an Apple product. I'll probably wait to see if someone makes a cheaper 3rd party solution, around the time when Gravity Rush and P4:TG come out.

I would also like to point out that I spent about the same price on a 32 gig PSP memory stick last year ($90 as opposed to $100), so it sounds like a pretty fair price to me. I mean sure, the fact that it's a proprietary format is still a load of balls, but as @JJOR64 pointed out, it's really not that far off from SD card prices.

Really? A quick look on Amazon showed me as least one 32GB SD card going for 27 bucks. That seems pretty far off to me...

But how fast are those SD cards? And the Sony card is actually closer to the size of microSD. They're charging higher than commodity prices, but they're also guaranteeing a certain level of speed so that downloaded games don't have huge performance issues compared to the retail came card versions while at the same time trying to make some profit to make up for the loss they're selling the Vita hardware itself at.

Whats the data read/write speed on those cheaper SD cards? Chances are, the ones on the Vita are much faster to accommodate the games.

This looks like a great launch lineup, I however will probably never own a handheld system again, Kindle Fire and smart phone has me covered.

Once the inevitable price drop hits, or perhaps a Persona Bundle, I'll get me one.

Definitely impressed by the launch lineup, but I probably won't be an early adopter with Vita. Will likely wait until the price (eventually) goes do - thinking maybe $149-$199 is my sweet spot.

I'm not blown away here but this still looks like a pretty good launch lineup.

Wait, Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus? Rayman Origins? This thing has some pretty cool games on it...

I still have no idea what Army Corps of Hell is about. Can't wait for more Uncharted though, just finished the awesomely awesome Uncharted 3 last night.

Good launch lineup, but I can't find the time to play a portable these days. So very tempted by Persona 4 on this thing....very very tempted.

Now I'm disappointed.

Definitely a great launch line up. Not really interested in getting any new portable at the moment, but the Vita is looking nicer than the 3DS for sure.

Well, that does it. I have to get this thing. And all of the games too, of course.

I'm really interested in the Vita, but it's extremely disappointing that it doesn't have any internal storage. I want more of those games digitally as well as a number of PSP games, but having to get yet another proprietary storage format is a bummer.
