I know about the fourth map that will come once the PS3 slackers make it to 43 million (right?) kills but do you think they'll update it with more in the future? Will it be an update, a DLC to an XBLA game (is that possible) or a whole new game?

I'm sure they're already working on something new, but for now, I'd say I'm still enjoying the maps at the moment (minus that Iwo-Jimmywotsit boring shit).

I hope they release new maps. The ones available are fine (not a fan of Iwo-Jima) but I would like some more in the future.

Seeing as 1943 has been downloaded somewhere around 600,000 times I think additional maps and content are a forgone conclusion. I personally would like to see something from the European front in the next packet of maps.

it's not unheard of for there to be dlc for an arcade game (castle crashers and the maw come to mind), so it's entirely possible they will get you some new maps shortly.

The 3 maps are enough, it's the lack of gadgets and weapons I'm worried about.

I'm sure they will release more after seeing some dedicated weekly numbers of people playing. Sure hope they do.

I hope they add more maps soon. I'm already burnt out from this game and when fall rolls in I'll be playing bigger and badder things.

I think they will probably be more concerned with working on Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 3. Of course I could be wrong but think that they want to finalize and perfect their full retail products rather than their $15 downloadable title

I just hope they are price appropriately. 

If they do something in Europe and add in a few maps this game will be complete.

They arn't going to release them for free. Battlefield 1943 is currently #5 on the XBL activity charts. Not just the XBLA game activity the full retail game charts.  They are almost definitely going to come out with more maps and most definitely charge for them.

Iwo Jima isn't trash either, it's a pretty good map. In all probability, there is a good chance we will not see any new maps, the game was not even originally intended to be a release, it was a project that got started for fun and ended up being too good not to release. There is a high chance the devteam will continue as normal onto their next project."

I would love to see some new maps, and I would pay a tidy sum to play them. After my trip, I am behind at the moment in 1943 playing, so an announcement regarding maps or modes would surely pull me back in.

A) I like Iwo Jima
 
2) I really liked some of the Western Maps back in BF1942, and would like to see a map incorporating the urban warfare of BF1942 in Russia.
