Giant Bombcast - 4th best gaming podcast according to Cnet UK

It has always seemed to me that Cnet (and it's subsidiary sites) are fairly reluctant to promote other websites. So I was surprised to see Cnet UK release lists of the top ten video game podcasts, blogs and Twitter feeds.
 
And I was even more pleasantly surprised to see the Giant Bombcast sitting at number 4 on the list. It definately deserves to be there. Their description of the bombcast is:

More games podcasting veterans take the mic on Giant Bomb's Giant Bombcast, which is often at its best when veering off the topic of games. Not that the games content is lacking -- while news is in there, it's the analysis and guest spots that make it worth subscribing to.

 I'm not gonna lie, after listening to CO-OP, the GiantBombcast has got some tough competition for the top spot.  GB still owns my heart though.

That's a damn fine spot, and it's great to see 4 Guys 1 Up show up right behind it; easily my two favorite podcasts out there.

I'm surprised it's only #4 (although that's pretty high up there for a top ten best list). I've listened to most of the podcasts on that list before, but I've invariably unsubscribed to most of them for either being outright boring or because I have no idea who the people who run it are, so it's tough for me to take their opinions seriously.

It's probably unsurprising that we, as users of this site think it should be number 1...But it should totally be Number 1. If Rich Gallup was involved, Giant Bombcast would be essentially the perfect games podcast.

I love a lot of the podcasts on that list, including CO-OP. that podcast is nothing but delicious.

Im glad to see PC Gamer Podcast made it in the list. I really enjoy their podcasts and think they do a good job.  Also no idle thumbs unfortunately. Lots of good podcasts. To be honest, Giant Bombcast can be very inconsistent in terms of my enjoyment.

Cool. I wonder how the Gamespot guys feel about it since Cnet are on the same family. 

Not a bad spot at all. Still, I'm surprised some other ones weren't up there, especially the Joystiq podcast.

I love the bombcast, the only thing I dislike is when they get guests on there, I just like hearing from the guys. 
 
But it's cool there getting some recognition.

I thought the HotSpot with Rich, Jeff, Ryan and Carrie was the pinnacle of game podcastdom.
 
I suppose I should try out some of the others on this top ten list, but I'm just so used to hearing the guys... I'm not ready for something new.

I'm surprised IGN Gamescoop isn't on that list.

Regardless of where you think Giant Bomb should be theres some questionable choices in that list.

Should be number one in my opinion but very cool to see it up there.

That list delves deep into an asshole mouth first.
 
#1 should be A Life Well Wasted (http://alifewellwasted.com/). Its several episodes outshines everything else
 
#2 should be Giant Bombcast

Cool. I get a newsletter from MightyApe.co.nz a New Zealand site that sells loads of stuff, and they said SMG2 was coming soon and had scores from IGN, NZGamer and GiantBomb so I thought that was cool.
