I suppose yes, because by todays standards CE has awfull graphics but is still an excellent game, just like them all, although I can't really comment on Halo 2 because I never really played it.

Bad spelling but you also didn't provide much clarification why you would want a remake the games are fine the way they are if you want halo 1 or 2 with updated graphics play 3 or wait for reach

im sorry its just the holidays that make me extra cynical.
you started a thread " do you think halo 1 & 2 should be remade?" and you left it at that. you didnt expand on your idea at all and just wrote "i mean the graphics!" like a 10 year old expecting everyone to completely understand what your saying.
do you want it remade for this generation? next? at all? do you just want a graphical upgrade?

o, sorry my bad, halo 1 has realy bad graphics and halo 2 got wearse, i think they should put them in halo 3 graphics at least!
Maybe if they touched up the existing assets and released them some sort of "Halo Collection", but it seems too soon for a full-fledged remake. I think they should at least hold off on it for another console generation or two. Halo 2 is only five years old. Games really shouldn't be remade that soon.

Not really. Its way too soon for any sort of remakes. Then again I dont really think they should be remade anyways since the games technical limitations at the time would be pretty obvious. Sure they would look pretty but compared to other games that have come since and helped build off what Halo started, the remake would be rather lack luster. Youd have newer audiences saying wow these games are garbage when in reality they were revolutionary and staples in gaming history with Halo being the reason console fps became popular and Halo 2 for being the reason online gaming really took off. Besides, I couldnt imagine a Halo 2 without all the super bounces and crazy glitches I spent so many hours learning and having fun with.
While it would be fun to see CE with nicer graphics and online play, I'm really not a trend of all these remakes and updates we're seeing recently. Sometime it's justified, I like what they did with Monkey Island.. completely re-doing the first one with nicer graphics, much better music, added voice-overs, etc, was great for the release of a 5th game. But did we really need to see something like Pokemon remade? Less than 10 years atfer it was originally released, with only marginally better graphics - especially when all of the subsequent games are so similar anyway.

Halo CE's graphics are somewhat bad by comparison, but did Halo 2 really get "wearse"? I would think that Halo 2 would have gotten better than Halo CE, not "wearse".
These days, it seems everything has to be remade. Halo CE was fine, Halo 2 was mediocre at best and the two games can still be easily found at any Gamestop in the country. Graphical improvement alone does not justify a full remake of both games which, may I remind you, aren't even that old.
I'd rather have a company make a new Halo or Marathon game than a remake of either, although a remake of Halo 1 could be cool. I didn't like how Halo 2 played, so I would not like a remake of it.
Remakes is pushing it a bit, but certainly a compilation disc that runs properly on the 360. Not being able to experience the trilogy, glitch free, without hunting down an original Xbox is pretty weak considering what a premium franchise it is.
Xbox/PS2/Gamecube era games are pretty enough to not need to be remade. The cut-off for things needing to be remade is probably the turn of the decade.

You seem to be new, so again just keep this in mind for future threads. It will benefit everyone. Here at Giant Bomb, we like arguments/thoughts and general context to go along with our opinions.
@WinterSnowblind: Where are you getting that I'm a fanboy? I've played through all the Halo's so A. don't call me a fanboy, and B. they wouldn't even be in my top 100 games that need to be remade.
A simple graphic overhaul really would not do all that much for those games. However if they would be to get the same treatment as the recently released God of War collection like a Halo Trilogy pack that would be pretty neat.
