Look, I like boobs but some games just use sex way too much to get horny pre-teens to buy in order to get off the shelves. I'm curious what some of the worst examples are.
I would go with the Dead or Alive series, or more specifically the revolting volleyball spin offs. Just being reminded of its existence pisses me off. Doesn't help that its a lousy series. Even RapeLay gets more respect from me. At least that piece of shit is honest about what its trying to be.
Hmm i top that with Playboy Mansion the game. And yes BMXXX I heard was eww but I had seen it at Video Ezy. I also got my 360 second hand from someone down the line but he was 8 and had bought GTA IV which was surprising but what shocked me was Dead or Alive Xtreme volley ball 2 or whatever.

Thing is, when Kamiya creates something he creates something he genuinely likes, not just something he thinks will sell more copies(had that been the case, Clover wouldn't have been dissolved). And that makes Bayonetta's sexualization fine, in my opinion. It might not appeal to me personally, but it doesn't leave a bad taste in my mouth like X-Blades and Dead or Alive Xtreme, two games with pretty damn loathsome use of sex.
Probably Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2. Their advertising campaign consisted of a a hidden camera that filmed people walking by a fake set of boobs and a video of a bunch of creepy guys playing with the motion control breast bounce feature in the game.

We're not talking about the most loathsome use of machismo to sell a game in this thread. If you want to talk about that, perhaps you should make a thread about it.
I haven't seen a game yet that used sex as bad as someone tries to make it sound. Even real fans of the old Leisure Suit Larry games know that the only dude talking about sex was Larry himself. Just wouldn't happen all that often.
But if I had to pick just one game that goes beyond any of these poor attempts. 3Feel would be the game to pick obviously o.O

Chainsawing someone is part of the gameplay. Gore just leads on from that. There is no damn point in having game where all the female characters have bouncy tits the size of Jupiter. Its also pointless on the level that if I want to jerk off, I'll find some porn. Not a video game. Besides, this thread is about bad overuse of sex appeal. I don't mind my games having tits in it if it is geniunely cool. Like God of War. That was awesome.
You could easily make the same thread for "Most pathetic use of gore to sell a game". Madworld would be at the top of the list. How about "Most lame use of swearing to sell a game"? In fact fucking Gamespot back in the day had that as a GOTY "award".

(Sarcasm start) Yea I know, there are way too many sexual references in that game, I mean I know they are trying to be funny but seriously, sex is so annoying , I mean I want an action game, I don't want the developers to try and do something funny and unique. Why even bother to create such an interesting character with a unique attitude, I mean just give me a generic dude and that will be better. Never mind all the other mechanics in Bayonetta like the torture moves, all I see is the sex stuff and that just overpowers everything else, I mean this is totally going to ruin the game. Again, I can't believe Capcom would actually consider doing something unique, it is just mind boggling. (Sarcasm end)
Half-life 2 and the episodes with Alyx Vance. In every single game alyx says something like ''I was worried you wouldn't come back'' or other dudes saying things like ''you are together?''

Well, I quite enjoy a little over-the-top titillation found throughout the DOA/Ninja Gaiden franchises. The body proportions defy realism just like every other aspect of the series. I don't go to a DOA game looking for the most advanced fighting mechanic. I'm there for exaggerated breast physics and strangely arousing grunts. I think the games are fun in the same way that the teen exploitation films I grew up with were fun. It's all about as serious as the sex mini games in the God of War series.
I am much more likely to condemn a game because it is a bad game and not because I am uncomfortable with the sexual themes presented within. If I did that I would be no better than the author who spoke out against Mass Effect without having ever played or seen any of the game. That doesn't mean that there aren't games with strong sexual content that I don't hold in high regard. The above mention BMXXX is a shoddy extreme sports game that might have sounded radical on paper, but in execution turned out to be a monotonous grind. Another fine example would be the (possibly illegal) mess that was packaged up as The Guy Game. A sophomoric quiz show game where the object was to figure out just how dumb the blond was. I don't dislike it because it had boobs in it. I hate it because it was a bad game.
Does Assassins Creed count. Like, I remember a lot of people were complaining about the amount of PR Jade Raymond was doing at the time...but I suppose thats not directly in the game itself
