Mine, I think I just broke it, about 12 hours of playing nothing but Fallout 3. What's the grand total? 58 freaking hours, and it might say over 2 weeks, but no, I got the game LAST WEEK. This is called "how to flunk school... again".
What's Your Longest Videogame Session?

I remember when I was crazy...I played WoW for almost 72 hours straight. I was battling a strong case of insomnia for awhile and WoW seemed to be the only thing that kept me from going crazy during that time. My insomnia stopped a few weeks later and then I quit WoW a few months later. My life seems much better! Other than WoW, the longest I have ever played a game is 28 hours straight in FF7.
I played Persona 4 for about maybe 11 hours without quitting last week, had nothing else to do
I like the Endurance Run series and I purchased the game after I saw it there and damn its awesome, so far Ive spent a total of 42 hours on it but thats not my record of total time on a game for me, Ive played maybe 122 hours of Burnout Paradise, I cant remember
I find it funny how I'm starting to like RPGs better now. Even though Fallout 3 is more action oriented, I can see myself enjoying the more traditional RPGs now. I guess I had to try it to know I liked RPGs.
When I had off work on the weekend I finally sat down and played Persona 4 beginning to end, like I planned a long time ago. I had plenty of time to do so, and in 3 days I beat it then restarted a new game..and its a 60hour+ game to begin with, far longer since I chose the right things and got the true ending(which I'm very happy about) . I'm now on 110hours+ on the game, and I think I may even have to restart another new game+ because I feel the urge to try to fill out my compendium to 100% or near it at least, and I still want plenty of personas before I stop playing it for good.
I don't think I've played a game for such a long time in a short period before ever..everything on the 360 or PS3 I've just felt bored as shit with recently, I need some new games that actually turn out good to come out already...but just like P3 when I played that, so far its my favorite game of the entire year, and overrides last year too. Also one of my favorite RPGs of all time, if not THE absolute favorite, since I can't say any other RPG I've ever even thought of playing twice really besides MegaTen games.
When I wasn't working full time, I used to get up around 1PM every day and after retiring to my room at around 10 or 11 that night, I would play online till the early hours of the morning. Then watch some south park and repeat the next day. Think the longest session was from around 10 at night till about 9 the following morning playing Ravenshield and Battlefield 2.
Not really an incredibly healthy or advisable lifestyle.
"I'm really pushing to break my record of 6 minutes. Maybe today will be the day! "You're hardcore to the max. You're alpha, Brucie salutes you.
I had a 26-hour spree in Everquest nearly six years ago. That was ... interesting, to say the least. Good times, though. I've also had many, many 12+ hour marathons whenever I'm reviewing a game. It's a pretty common thing to do, as well as waking up at 3AM to catch the XBLA games on the dot to have the first review up.
Yay for health abuse!
Hmm... Fallout 2 for me, I think, at roughly 8 hours. When I first bought it, I started playing at midnight, and next thing I knew, sunlight was coming through the windows.
Total hour wise, I've sunk at least 200 hours into Disgaea 2, and am quickly approaching that on Disgaea 3. I can't quite explain my addiction to those games, except that I love the turn-based SRPG genre.
In one sitting I played Gears 1 for 10 hours straight, and once the same for fallout 3.
But in total I played more than seven days wourth of COD4. I don't think I've played any game more than that.
My longest game would probably be a game of Age of Empires 2 that ran from 8 in the evening until 4 or 5 AM. We were playing on a map that I created (that hugely advantaged my team), but with a small passage in the middle to make the game super long. Our opponent cheated with a trainer to give him more units and resources than possible, but we eventually beat back his elephants with mass pikes. It was epic.
When I played WoW the longest time I played for was about 72 hours (including bathroom breaks and shotgunning of energy drinks. Played Gears 2 on launch for 24 hours strait.

I used to pretty regularly, go straight to the computer as soon as I woke up, play WoW for 15 hours with toilet breaks, go to my room and watch porn until I pretty much passed out in the early hours of the morning.
I've kicked WoW since, but I still play around 7 hours a day on the PS3/360/PC.
The longest I've ever spent on a single game total is Fallout 3 which ,after The Pitt, is at 62 hours.
The longest I've ever played a game in a single sitting would have to be the original Halo. A bunch of us got together at a friends house and played multiplayer from about 6 PM to 7 AM. I crashed but my friends played on. So thats what, 13 hours?
I tend to play games Tuesday nights (thats my Friday night - goofy work schedule) from about 7 or 8 PM to 2 or 3 in the AM.
For a single game? It would probably be WoW with about a 16 hours session.
If we can include multiple games, then I've done a 24+ hour segment at a Lan Party playing numerous games, but continually.
Though I don't do LAN Parties anymore, nor do I play WoW. So I would say anything recently in the past 2 or so years, probably would be a 6-8 hour segment with either Fallout 3, Oblivion or Mass Effect.

I'm getting Lost, and I'm getting Damned, and I'm doing it for more than 6 consecutive minutes. Oh yeah."I'm really pushing to break my record of 6 minutes. Maybe today will be the day! Now that is living like a playa. Literally. Ever poopsock it? You know Cartman style?
I remember playing the Stacraft & expansion campaigns, I would play a couple of hours everyday after school. I was really into the story, I can't wait for Starcraft 2.
I've gone through several 24 hour+ sessions of Flight Simulator 2004 since I got it in 2003 (with the game speed turned up to 16x during long cruising sessions). I've probably flown around the world 100+ times.
Every now and then, when i get a new game me and my mate stay up all night to complete it co-op, Vegas 2 and Cod5 come to mind.
I've no idea how long halo 3 is, but i've completed it in one session when it was new out.
used to play FFVII pretty much non stop.
"I'm not joking, when I added up the amount of Halo 2 multiplayer I've played it came to 4000 hours. I've never been addicted to anything as much as I was addicted to that game."
Halo 2 was the first game I had ever played online and I was hooked. After I finished off the campaign I decided to get XBLive and started playing Halo 2.
Well months went by, I was still buying other games that I found on sale but I didn't play anything but online Halo 2. It was freaking amazing.
In fact due to Halo 2 I now have a backlog of games that easily tops 40 games.
After I bought my 360 I cancelled my subscription to XBLive (and won't get it again till it's free) just because I needed to finish off this big game pile.
But yeah, I simply loved and lived online Halo 2 in 2004-05.
*sniff*
But as for the topic, I'd have to say my longest gaming session was Final Fantasy 1 on the NES. Myself and 2 buddies rented it and we played it from 9pm till 5pm the next day. We slept in shifts.
Well. Seeing as I´ve been playing WoW pretty much since its release I dare no longer think about the total hours spent in that game. Several thousands for sure. Some sessions can get really long. When you´re set on powerleveling and or Honorgrinding. Maybe 14-16 Hour stretches with food/toilet and airbreaks at its worst sometime during the past years on a vacation or something.
I would love to say some badass game like Chrono Trigger or Ocarina of Time, but as it stands, I played Sonic Unleashed for 11 hours straight, just to say I beat the damn game. I wouldn't approve. Now, if you'd excuse me, I need to see if I can go to sleep again. The brain-dead memories are still lodged in my head every now and then.
A while back on steam I had played Left4Dead for over 100 hours in the past 2 weeks....
Longest played in one sitting though...hmmm maybe..7 hours of Oblivion?
...In fact due to Halo 2 I now have a backlog of games that easily tops 40 games. That's how it is for me, except with Fallout 3, I have barely touched another game. They're piling up indeed.
I put somewhere close to 300 hours into Pokemon Yellow when it was new. That was pretty much the only game I played for a year.
As for playing a game in one sitting I beat Gears 2 for the first time without stopping but I'm not sure of the time.
