How do you relax?

For me, it's music.

Like you i relax to music too, or put on some podcasts.

When I'm stressed or bored I'll post on GB, play video games, listen to music, play music, go out with friends, watch movies, and watch TV.

if theres a lot on my mind, ill go bowling. it lets me clear my head. but other then that ill watch movies or tv to relax

I'm pretty sure there is a topic just like this, but what the hell. Sometimes I listen to music or I play some Fallout 3, probably the only game I have that's impossible to get angry at.

sit down infront of the tv with a can of coke or just play video games.

I like to listen to music, do stuff on the computer, and play video games in order to relax.

Music. Games. Shut the outside world out.

I relieve myself in two different ways.

Music helps, but it doesn't really do much. Videogames do help, because I have to center myself at the game and I just forget about what is bothering me.

Uhhh... video games. Either that, or I listen to podcasts, both new and old alike. The idle chatter is usually the sound I fall asleep to, now.

Music is probably my best stress-reliever. Bring it on Pink Floyd and Radiohead!

Music, self hypnosis(it's really awesome for relaxing your body) or some of that bad stuff.

Music+Videogames make me relax like no other. Or a warm bath/shower....

There are a variety of things. Right now what I like to do most to wind down is watch some Stargate SG-1 or Dragonball Z on DVD. Sometimes I prefer to read (Dune right now for the first time) sometimes I prefer to play games (Ghostbusters at the moment). I don't mind a bit of music but not so often, music pumps me up more then it helps me to relax so I usually put some music on my iPod when I go for a walk or play with the dog.

Sleep.

Just had a bit of a revelation the other night, sounds fucking bonkers but it's really helped, I was smiling all the next day (till my asshole bro got home and started shouting at red faction again)

Someone told me that being thankful for something helps you relax... yeah w/e I thought but i've tried most everything else. So I put my feet up, got a cup of green tea and watched Saving Private Ryan, i'd forgotten just how brutal that film is, and at the end I forced myself to start thinking about just how lucky I am that I can sit here and play video games all day and live in relative safety, and don't have to go through any of those horrific experiences.

And you know what? I felt so much better the rest of the evening and the whole of the next day.

As stupid as it sounds, literally forcing yourself to smile also really helps (provided you dont spend too much time thinkint about how stupid it is, or it becomes progressively more difficult to maintain) it releases endorphines.

My eye hasn't twitched since I did the above as well, which relaxes me even more that was pissing me off.

I usually just put my chair back, put my head phones on I spent way too much money on for, and listen to Tupac or B.I.G.

Listening to acoustic, melodies, piano music while taking a nap. 

Computer is not relaxing. Video games are very stressful (at least for me; I hate to loose). TV is boring. When I'm tired, I hop in to bed and listen to some soothing music, or something that calms me. Lately that has been the Vince Gauraldi Trio's album for A Charlie Brown Christmas. Makes me relive peace and happy times with my family during the holidays.

I listen to different music than I usually do, mainly Modest Mouse, Pink Floyd, and some classical guitar work, like Dominic Frasca.

And we have all of our consoles in my room, so I also have to deal with my little brother cussing at his friends when I'm trying to go to sleep.

I'll probably listen to music, and when I'm in the mood, I'll play Hot Shots Golf. If not that, I'll probably, err, touch myself, it's oddly relaxing to me, I don't know why.
