Every year, we get a crop of complete idiots that make headlines for whatever reason, and 2008 has a plethora of stupid people that deserve some recognition for being the most braindead members of society.  Some get arrested for something ridiculous, some had a case of foot-in-mouth, and others get a little greedy at the expense of others and got caught.

So, who's your idiot of the year, or IOTY?  If you're stumped, look to Hollywood for inspiration.

I was watching the news earlier this year and someone that was reported of takes the cake. He was a criminal, who decided to rob a store. What's the problem here?:

1. The store was in his home town.

2. He didn't wear a mask.

3. He bought liquor moments before the holdup.......

4. And gave the cashier his I.D.!

I would agree with the popular consensus and say either Sarah Palin or Plaxico. Both just plain idiots.
