Marvel or DC?

I'm talking about the comic companies. 
 
Marvel has created a huge amount of memorable characters, and has also been pretty damn successful at transferring the comics to the big screen as well as television series. The same could be said of DC also, but Marvel wins in my books due to them creating more memorable characters and storylines.

Though with Marvel having Deadpool (My fave character for over a decade) I am a little conflicted

I think Marvel has the better characters, but DC has much more interesting story lines.

DC has only one thing that interests me: Batman. The other DC standards (Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, ect.) do not do anything for me.

I can't think of more than 1-2 DC superheroes that I like.

Spiderman......SPIDERMAN....SPADERMAN...SPIDEYMAN.....SPIDERMAN!

DC has Watchmen, so I automatically favor them.

I prefer Marvel, but Batman is my favourite super hero.

I dislike most of Marvel's books apart from Incredible Hercules and a few other titles.

I don't think you can really say one's better than the other. They both have both produced treasure and trash, often in tandem. 

My favorite characters are Batman and The Joker and their never ending dance, so DC gets my vote.
