I recommend you read IGN's quick impressions on the demo they where given, sounds fucking badass.

I've been replaying through 1 and 2 (God of War collection) and I'm totally stoked for this. 

Alright, definitely buying a PS3 in time for God of War III.

Fuck yea! This game will be soooo freaking awesome.  And for anyone bashing on it come on, your just picking out incredibly tiny things just to say something bad about, I know that no game is perfect but you can't say this game won't be fucking awesome.

I'll have Dante's Inferno on the 360 to tide me over until I get a 1080p flat screen and a PS3.  Then I'll definitely get GoW3.

I kind of want a PlayStation 3. Not because of the God Of War 3's graphics (I think they're nice but not mind-blowing), but more because I really enjoyed the first two.

The full res is even less impressive. Honestly, this looks like a first generation PS3 game, it's comparable to Heavenly Sword. I'm not trying to troll, and I admit that I'm somewhat of a graphics whore, but I don't see how people can think this game looks good after the release of Killzone 2 and Uncharted 2. The first time I saw I saw screenshots of this game I thought they were from GoW2, it has improved since then but not enough to set its graphics apart to the point where some people are drooling over it. "

Heavenly Sword was a great looking first PS3 game; and the scope of the shot you posted is/was awesome -- but for all you know God Of War III might have a section later on with a battle of that size and nature in which case, we'll compare.  The shot I posted from God Of War III shows scale beyond anything I've personally ever seen in a video game. The detail is unreal. I've never, ever seen scope like that in ANY game. Bayonetta just came out and, yo, that had some scale. But it didn't even have a 10th of what's being shown in these screens.  It's subjective about the art. Maybe you don't like God Of War's moodly look. Maybe you don't like the dark colours. I don't know.  Either way, I can't believe we're even having this conversation. You think Uncharted and Killzone and Heavenly Sword looks better? Cool. That's awesome. I disagree but I can see why you might say that.   The fact is, you're coming across like these new screens aren't even impressive in any way, shape or form. Smartassness aside, This game looks amazing, and people who dont see it....i want some of the hallucinogens they are on.

As you progress down this solitary pathway, you get a glimpse of a massive blue Titan scaling the mountain you're climbing to your left.  But wait! You're not climbing a mountain; over on the left side of the screen you catch a glimpse of a massive face and realize that you're climbing the Gaia's arm while she climbs a mountain... what knocked my socks off was the presentation. When Gaia initially flung her arm back, the camera zoomed way out so that you could take in the entire scene, and while this was happening, you could still be fighting as Kratos.

it took me like 2 mins to notice Kratos.  
 
I cannot wait for this game. I got GoW Collection, so i need to finish that up... along with Valkyria Chronicles, which is amaaazing so far 

Joystiq said that Dante's Inferno looks totally "last-gen" after playing God of War III.

Also, maybe Im reading into things, just based on how that dude looks and the sheer size, could it be Yeti from Viking folklore? Maybe Kratos fights some Norse bros later on.

So do we reckon that Sony's marketing budget will stretch to the Superbowl? I'm a Brit so it means jack-shit to me, but I can see why it would be a huge deal for Americans. Especially presuming there would be some marketing cross-over between the two.

I guess as fast as textures aren't full of colours like Uncharted or Heavenly Sword that is classified as bad..
