Mostly obscure or independant fighting games that don't feature motion inputs(quarter circles, Z motion, etc(directional moves like in smash bros are allowed)). Also with a focus on being beginner friendly for those without fighting game experience. Please comment if you can think of any games that should be included as i am still actively updating this.
Very simple 2 button fighter(dive and kick).
Use the left and right directional buttons to perform different attacks.
The game features a karate event and it's surprisingly good. You can punch, kick, gaurd, charge meter, throw, cancel attacks, dash, use special punches/kicks, and ultimates.
A fun 2D arena fighter. Players choose from a range of charicters that offer different bonus' such as an extra jump or higher defence. The game also allows player to choose their weapon, each with their own play style. A turbo mode that allows players to cancel attacks while airborne to continue combos or for extra mobility. great sound design.
3 button fighter(left, right, and attack). different attacks can be used depending on the directional input and by holding the attack button. Very stripped back fighter withh an interesting shield mechanic.
A one hit kill fighting game with a interesting cast of characters. players can move, jump, dash(invincible), attack, special, and wager the rounds they have already won to use a super attack.
A traditional 2D fighter with a cast of animals. players can use light, heavy, and overhead attacks as well as their characters super skill
3D arena fighter. Featuers a local multiplayer versus mode.
2D arena fighter. each digimon has a square, triangle, and circle attack.
2D arena fighter. much more similar to a traditional platform fighter than rumble arena one.
