Spring is my fave; when everything is starting to blossom, the temperature is just right and there are no creepy crawlies about.

Allergies ahoy though...

Sammo Hung was awesome. I remember one the only primetime shows I used to watch was Martial Law, he was awesome in that. Another movie that I remember him well from is Forever Dragons, great action in that one.

In the video gaming world, I'd say E.Honda kicks some major ass.

To the OP: Yeah, if your not going to take responsibility for what you bring into this world then don't bother fucking everything in sight.

Agreed.

I guess you cant live with it, and you cant live without it.

Humans have an innate nature of violence within them, even the most pacifist of peoples will get in your face when goings get tough. If your talking with your mouth then people generally don't care too much, if you start shooting at people and telling them you cant be here anymore or cant live the same way because we are taking over your area; people will generally fight back whether they can win or not.

In the end, when you see people dying and suffering... you have to ask yourself if it's worth it or not. There are alot of people on this world and all we have to do is be civil with one another to keep the peace and try living as a evolved race capable of intelligent thought.

War is stupid, but stupidity runs rampant with people and thus war, whether it be personal, civil or global, cant be avoided.

All I can do is just hope people can make the right decision when the choice of war is on the table...

Cool topic, nice to reminisce about things like this. =)

  • Metal Gear Solid 3 had an intro akin to some of the 007 movies and I still think its one of the better ones of the series (Havent played MGS4 yet though...).
  •  All of the Final Fantasy games (now) have great opening sequences which really make me feel like playing the games. I guess FFVIII's stands out the most.
  •  Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross had memorable openings too.

I'm sure there are lots of others, but these stand out as ones I remember the most.

This is probably my first time seeing any of his reviews. I enjoyed every minute of RE5 so I obviously didn't agree with almost anything he said aside from the inventory bit... which was probably the only reviewing of any kind he did thus, in my opinion the rest of it was just a large overstated rant.

I've only played a select few matches online so I cant give examples of people quitting on me or otherwise.

I personally would not quit regardless of the situation unless, as a previous poster mentioned, there is an issue of lag. Cheapness is a game that everyone is going to play whether they know how to play the SF IV (or any other game) or not, so I've come to expect it. Your a far better player if you can learn to avoid the attacks and rest assured, they can be avoided.

The moral of the story; you might get beat 100 times, but that 101st time you win, you'll have figured out blues clues and the only thing spamming should remind you of is the canned version of meat.

That was a weird scentence...

Thats why there are 12 games and various spinoffs up until now eh? Clearly not a spectacular series. To each their own I guess.

Nice try at an April Fools day joke.

No but see, people yell "frag out" generally to worn others, such as their partners etc. so they won't be hurt in the process of the frag grenade exploding. And do you mean "KICKASS" as in "I'm gonna kick your ass!"? Because you say that prior to the actual attack, not during it. And people in martial arts don't say anything like that either. They may grunt or exclaim a high vocal sound in order to ready themselves for a heavy blow or powerful attack (i.e before breaking wood, bricks etc.)Don't mean to sound like an ass, but this whole "I"M GONNA YELL WHAT I"M GOING TO DO NEXT SO BE READY HERE I COME HOLY SHIT YOU GUYS LOLOL" just seems a bit odd to me.:P"
I guess my post could be a bit misunderstanding, let me explain further:

I never said that martial artists say something like 'kickass' before they punch. What I meant was exactly what you explained, we're taught to grunt or to make a loud noise during ie. a final blow in a combination or finishing off a pattern relegated towards an offensive or defensive nature(and like you said, upon the breaking of objects). I used KICKASS as a form of comparison with saying Hadoken in real life before they attacked 'during' a fight and then contrasted with what I just explained in the previous scentence.

As for the logic behind the grenade throw: I realize that phrases such as 'fire in the hole' are meant to warn others, but it's something that  someone is 'probably' trained to say whether there are other people there or not.

Perhaps it's all just an honor among warriors thing going on or maybe its just an involuntary vocal outburst of the manifestation of energy that they are building up for the attack. Obviously certain attacks dont need words, like Balrog's or Blanka's specials... then again some are over emphasized like Cammy's or Ken's specials. Then again, I tend to agree with others in saying that it's tradition and it gives the characters a certain personality that they wouldn't have otherwise. I would not like playing a Street Fighter game without those vocals... then again if SF had been without vocals for special attacks and it was something just introduced I wouldn't know what I'd think then.

There are other cases to draw this sort of vocal outward nature of fighting. For instance, In many of the kung fu movies they always say something like 'Witness the Flying Crane Eagle stance!' before and during the fight then someone counters by describing what attack they are using; almost as if to challenge the other fighter in trying to break their defenses using whatever style of fighting they know. Bruce Lee had a special way of expressing his attacks which people probably thought strange at first, especially people who were foreign to the type of fighting style, however those vocals accompanied by his attacks is one of his lasting charms and that was just one of the reasons he was so well known.

When it all comes down to it I think one has to realize that it is a fantasy world based on fantasy things which aren't meant to be realistic in any way, shape or form.
