Alright, to start it off, I'd like to let everyone know that I am a HUGE Star Wars fan so that's partially one of the reasons why I''m on the fence here. The other part is that I despise MMO gameplay. I can't stand it for the life of me. DCUO's gameplay was a little more tolerable because it was action oriented but from what I hear, this is exactly like a standard MMO, which saddens me.
Is there any way this could appeal to me, or should I not even waste my money?
From what I heard you can do ALOT of the game alone. One of the biggest issues people have is with the "MMO" part. Many are saying there is none. Just lots of big open areas with no people. Quests can be done alone. From what Ive seen and heard combat is more or less the same as WOW but set in the Star wars universe. Course you will have to pay 15 bucks a month after your first free month. What "MMO" part is turning you off about it? The combat? The MMO Part (With lots of people) Which part?
I don't mind the MMO portion, but the gameplay turns me off. It's really not all that engaging and bores me since it has little animation and creativity. Just my opinion though.
The story is what people are coming for. But fighting and all the other stuff looks like WoW.
Yeah... I gave WoW a try and I was immersed in the world and the rich backstory, but the gameplay was unbearable. TOR's seems to be more of the same.
sounds to me like you would absolutely hate TOR as it has MMO gameplay and that should be the end of it
wish they localised this as being from the UK i've not really heard of hear. they should have a geeky pin up from UK TV like Suzi Perry or Violet Berlin
i actually think its too big. i held on the other day in out local GAME store. and was surprised just how big it seemed.
for me the whole point of a handheld gaming system is to be able to carry it about with me, and its just to big to do that. so i would just end up playing it around the house. and why would i do that when i have a PS3 and a Gaming PC hooked up to a 46" TV and nice speakers.
for me its phone for out and about gaming and PS3 or PC when i get home.
Bought my 3GS at launch with PAYG, fuck contracts I went in there and just asked to buy it, he looked at me so weird like what!?
i did the same with my 3GS
but bought it direct of the apple store. its on O2 and i use their simplicity tariff. £15 a month and i get 100 mins of calls and unlimited texts and data.
hope to buy a iphone 4 either this month or next and do the same
